OLUYOLE DIVISIONAL POLICE HEADQUARTERS HOSTS INTERACTIVE SECURITY STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING (28/04/2026)
Oluyole, Oyo State — The Oluyole Divisional Police Headquarters, under the leadership of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Oladipo Sunday, yesterday hosted an interactive security stakeholders’ meeting in line with the directive of the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The meeting brought together a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including leaders of industries, community leaders, school administrators, media representatives, and other sister security agencies. The event was further strengthened by the presence of the Area Commander, Apata Area Command, ACP Florence Ogundele.
A major highlight of the meeting was the contribution of Amb. Funke Wehbe, Commandant General of the Rescue Complimentary Support Corps, who was one of the key speakers at the event. In her address, she emphasized the importance of community-based security support systems, rapid response collaboration, and the need for continuous public sensitization on safety measures. She also reiterated the commitment of the Corps to working closely with the Nigeria Police and other security agencies to enhance safety and emergency response within the community.
The interactive session served as a strategic platform for dialogue and collaboration on prevailing security concerns within the division and surrounding communities. Key discussions focused on situation reports, highlighting current security realities, emerging threats, and operational challenges.
Stakeholders also examined practical and sustainable strategies to enhance security, with emphasis on intelligence sharing, community policing, and strengthening partnerships between security agencies and the public. The importance of collective responsibility in maintaining peace and order was strongly emphasized.
