At Lift Humanity Foundation, LHF, we are passionate about creating a better world for all. That is why we are teaming up with our incredible partners ; One Planet Earth Humanitarian Foundation-OPEHF , FCT Department of Mass Education - AMAC Zonal Office, Abuja. , Jesda Fashion Academy, GlobalChoice Enterprise, Kingjerryghana apparel and Igo Digital Solution Services ... to launch a groundbreaking initiative: RECYCLING AND UPCYCLING PROJECTS FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE .

We have done it before, and we are ready to do it again!

Remember when we upcycled tons of plastic bottles to build an Eco-friendly toilet at New Nyanya Primary School Nasarawa State, Nigeria in collaboration with Ecocykle Limited ?

We are proud to say that the project was a huge success, and we are eager to replicate it on a larger scale.

OUR PROJECT MISSION :

To reduce pollution and protect marine life.

To promote circular economy and environmental sustainability.

To empower communities through training and economic opportunities.

To educate women, youths, and children on the power of recycling and upcycling.

WE ARE ALREADY MAKING CONNECTIONS :

We have established partnerships with some shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets to collect plastic, metal, and aluminum wastes. These collaborations will not only reduce waste but also create new economic opportunities for our beneficiaries.

Our research team at Lift Humanity Foundation, LHF with their Research Partners are making progress on adding value to indigenous foods in Nigeria to combat food insecurity & achieve Zero Hunger.

CURRENT MILESTONE:

We have completed Phase 1 of our research experimentation & secured a modern factory approval from our research partners for practical/Research implementation of phases 2, 3, 4 & 5 sections of our research mission .🏭

Our mission is to empower rural farmers, widows, women, & youth with sustainable food solutions. 🌿

NEXT MILESTONE :
Phase 2 Research Implementation /Experimentation will be commencing as soon as possible .

EMPOWERING GRASSROOT FARMERS THROUGH RESEARCH AND COLLABORATION .

The Lift Humanity Foundation, LHF Research Team, in partnership with research collaborators, embarked on a mission to engage with grassroots farmers in 6 communities in Nasarawa State, Nigeria.

Our objective was to understand their farming practices, particularly regarding indigenous root crops like sweet potatoes.

KEY FINDINGS :

We discovered that most communities primarily cultivate White Fleshed Sweet Potatoes due to high local demand.

The lack of demand for Orange Fleshed and Purple Fleshed Sweet Potatoes has led to their decline and potential extinction in these areas.

EMPOWERING FARMERS THROUGH EDUCATION AND COLLABORATION :

We educated farmers on the importance of cultivating diverse sweet potato varieties and the opportunities our research mission offers.

We discussed our findings with the National Root Crops Research Institute and explored ways to reintroduce extinct sweet potato varieties to the communities.

NEXT STEPS :
1) Official collaboration with the National Root Crops Research Institute to revive Orange Fleshed and Purple Fleshed Sweet potatoes.

2) Support grassroots farmers through our research and empowerment initiatives.

SUPPORTING LOCAL FARMERS :

We purchased White Fleshed Sweet potatoes from local farmers to support their livelihoods and further our research.

This initiative is a step towards promoting agricultural diversity, empowering grassroots farmers, and enhancing food security. We look forward to making a positive impact in these communities.

EMPOWERING THE VULNERABLE , A STEP CLOSER TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE .

Yesterday 3rd September 2025 , the Lift Humanity Foundation, LHF management team had the privilege of engaging in a fruitful discussion with the key administrators of the FCT Department of Mass Education - AMAC Zonal Office, Abuja. This meeting marked a significant milestone in our journey to empower the most vulnerable members of our society.

A SHARED VISION FOR CHANGE

During the courtesy visit, we explored partnership and collaboration opportunities that would enable us to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women, widows, and youths at the grassroots level and rural communities. Our discussion centered on Vocational Skills Empowerment Training, Education, and Mass Literacy programs that would equip these individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to break the cycle of poverty.

PRO-POOR DEVELOPMENT : A COLLECTIVE EFFORT .

We are happy to report that our meeting with the Department of Mass Education administrators was productive and enlightening. Both parties shared a common vision for pro-poor development, recognizing the importance of targeting the most vulnerable populations in our society. This shared understanding paves the way for a collaborative effort that will bring about lasting change in the lives of our prospective beneficiaries.

A BRIGHTER FUTURE AHEAD .

As we move forward, we are filled with hope and anticipation for the positive impact that this partnership will have on the lives of those we aim to serve. We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. With the support of our partners, we are confident that we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of women, widows, and youths in our communities.

RESEARCH UPDATE
We are still making progress on the REPORT OF THE FIRST PHASE OF OUR RESEARCH EXPERIMENTATION.

Lift Humanity Foundation, LHF research team has been on a long term Research to find a way of adding value to some of the Indigenous Food in Africa especially in Nigeria as a way of solving food insecurity and contributing to zero hunger ...The United Nations' Zero Hunger initiative is a global call to action aiming to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture by 2030. This ambitious goal is part of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by all UN member states in 2015. This particular Objective ensures that everyone has access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and preferences without compromising their economic, social, and environmental well-being.

THE INNOVATIVE NATURE OF OUR RESEARCH PROJECT :

Of course , our research team is not doing this research alone . We are doing it in partnership/collaboration with Choice Global, an Indigenous Food Processing Enterprise which is one of the companies going to facilitate the training of our prospective beneficiaries :widows , women and youth between the ages of 18-55 within some communities we have carved out in Abuja on AGRO & INDIGENOUS FOOD PROCESSING , BRANDING /PACKAGING .

FACTORY APPROVAL SECURED FOR PRACTICAL.

A big modern factory that has all the facilities it will take to run the practical section of our research project has approved our letter and they are waiting for our research team to get ready with the necessary items and enter the factory for the practical .

The Annual Policy Dialogue on Soil, Climate, and Agriculture Sustainability (SCASS 2025) brought together renowned experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to address the pressing issues of soil health, climate change, and sustainable agriculture. As the Chairman and Executive Director of LIFT HUMANITY FOUNDATION, I was honored to represent our organization at this pivotal event, held on August 19, 2025, at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja.
