Her Excellency, the Former First Lady of the Republic of Namibia, Paid a Courtesy Visit to the Olowu of Owu Abeokuta.

Her Excellency, Madam Monica Geingos, the Former First Lady of the Republic of Namibia, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to Alayeluwa, the Olowu of Owu Abeokuta, during her study tour of Abeokuta.

The visit formed part of a cultural exchange and institutional learning engagement, during which the delegation visited and referenced key development models such as the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) and the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). The delegation expressed interest in understudying these institutions with a view to adapting and replicating similar knowledge-based and development-oriented systems in Namibia.

The engagement focused on strengthening mutual understanding, cultural cooperation, and developmental partnerships across African nations.

Alayeluwa warmly received the delegation and emphasized the importance of African unity, cultural preservation, and stronger collaboration among nations in achieving sustainable development, while balancing tradition with modern advancement.

The visit further strengthened ties of friendship, cultural understanding, and cooperation between the Republic of Namibia and Nigeria.

Kabiyesi Oba Oyelude Adekunle Makama Olowu oduru of Owu Kuta paid a courtesy visit to the Arole Oodua, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, CFR.

The visit was to felicitate with Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Adeyeye on the recent blessings bestowed upon the Royal Palace, particularly the safe delivery and subsequent naming ceremony of the twins of Olori Maryam Ogunwusi.

During the visit, important discussions were also held on security matters in the interest of Yorubaland and the well-being of its people.
