Men must be involved! No more sitting on the Fence!
Under the Renewed Women’s Voice Leadership Project , is excited for the successful one-day training of Male Champions on GBV and SRHR in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. With support from Global Affairs Canada and ActionAid Nigeria. We mapped and selected 20 men from target communities where the cases of GBV cases are often reported and equipped them with the knowledge, information and response skills to address GBV cases, how they can support in challenging harmful norms, support women’s access to SRHR services, and advocate for gender equality for women, women living with HIV/AIDS and girls.
By empowering women living with HIV and engaging men as Male champions and Allies against GBV and for SRHR, we’re not only building stronger communities where men and women stand shoulder-to-shoulder for equality but also making men accountable for their actions.

Through the RWVL Nigeria Project, implemented with , our women and girls are finding hope and opportunities to thrive. Exciting News!!!

As part of efforts to promote and protect the rights of women and girls in Nigeria, , with support from through the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Nigeria (RWVL-N) Project, announces the commencement of a five year project in the FCT, Imo and Plateau state, with a focus on Economic empowerment and increased knowledge on SRHR aimed at achieving Improved health, well-being, and rights protection of women and girls living with HIV in Nigeria through strengthened mental health support, increased knowledge of SRHR and GBV, reduced stigma, and institutionalized enforcement of gender-friendly and anti-discrimination policies.

This project is fully funded by Global Affairs Canada.
