We have initiated the distribution of a N500 million soft loan scheme for artisans and traders across Ogun State, as promised by our administration. This initiative, called “Oko’wo Irinse Dapo,” will be rolled out within 30 days after finalising the disbursement details.

Recognising the crucial role of traders and artisans in the state’s economic development, we are committed to supporting them as key partners in our ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda. Additionally, we are distributing grants and subventions to over 200 community development associations and various development committees throughout the state.

This effort is part of a broader initiative to empower youth through the upcoming Ogun Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Scheme (OG-YES), which will provide further loans and grants. Our administration remains dedicated to strengthening community associations and ensuring that our policies are community-driven and focused on improving lives.

We appreciate the Community Development Council for honouring us as Grand Patrons of the International Community and World Trade Day celebrations.

*OGUN CDC ORGANIZES ITS MAIDEN INDOOR GAMES COMPETITION.*

The Ogun State Community Development Council under the leadership of Akogun Lucien Taiwo organized it's maiden edition of indoor games competition on Thursday 15th August, 2024 at Alake Sport Center IJEJA Abeokuta, to commemorate year 2023 international Community Development celebration in Ogun State.

The State Chairman in his welcome address to the Community leaders and participants present at the event thank His Excellency PRINCE DAPO ABIODUN CON, for his approval for the year 2023 Community Day Celebration and appointing a grassroot Person as the Honourable Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives in Ogun State in person of Hon. Ademola Balogun.

Akogun described the event as an eye opener and Talent discovery among the teeming youths at the grassroot.

Declaring the event open is the Honourable Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives represented by The Director of Community Department Mr O.N Fayoyin. He thanked the Current Executives of the State Council for the new innovation and discovering new talents that goes in line with His Excellency agenda of Building our Future Together.

Furthermore, The novelty match for the Games was played by the Director and the State Council Chairman to declare the competition open.

Winners emerged from the preliminaries of the below listed games: Ayo Olopon, Ludo, Table Tennis and Draft from the Three Senatorial districts. After a very keen competition the winners for the 2023 Community day Games are. *LUDO*

OGUN STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL(OGSCDC)
With support from GIZ – GOPA through her Partner Organizations trained over 1000 MSMEs in Ogun State on Entrepreneurship Development

The Community Development Council has developed the capacity of over 1000 MSMEs in various locations of the state, these locations are Abeokuta North, Sagamu, Yewa South, Ifo, Odeda, Imeko, Obafemi Owode, Odogbolu, Ewekoro and Ijebu North.
In total, six hundred and sixty-five men (665) and four hundred and forty-nine women (449) benefitted from this capacity building training.
It was a great opportunity for MSMEs to learn, unlearn and relearn.
The training focused on the following topics among others:
• Entrepreneurial landscape (Nigeria Context/Innovation and Creation)
• omponent of Business Plan - Economic and Market Plan, Production and Operational Plan, Organization and Management Plan, and financial outlook for Enterprise
• Business Model Canvas (The 9 blocks were discussed- Value proposition, Customer Segments, Customer Relationships, Channels, Revenue Streams, Key Activities, Key Resources, Key Partners, and Cost Structure.
• Introduction to Business Planning and linking of Business Model Canvas to Business Plan.
• Importance of Business Formalization/legalization and accessing finance
These trainings were facilitated by the following partner organizations

3. S. L Professional Business School
4. Ijebu Business School (IJBS)
5. 720 Degree Innovation Hub
