HOW THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT AND STAKEHOLDERS CAN HELP:

Building a healthy and progressive society demands a united effort from everyone involved.

Education within our school systems provides essential frameworks that enable societies to visualize and pursue ambitious goals for collective success.

The world is an expansive classroom, and every individual plays a crucial role as a student. We accumulate knowledge, experience, and wisdom through various formal and informal channels.

The formal education system has, for decades, been the foundation for cultivating exceptional minds across diverse fields and levels of human endeavour. However, it has faced neglect in certain segments of society. All over the world, we see over and over again less attention given to the rural people, especially in Africa.

The rural dwellers are denied electricity, a good health care system, a good road network, a quality and competitive education system with a well-equipped state-of-the-art facility conducive to learning, portable drinking water and a viable and secure market for commerce just to state but a few.

The people of the rural world have a lot to contribute towards achieving a better society and, as such, should not be neglected any further.

The rural child has a right to education. Enough of the victimisation and stigmatisation
Education is our right. Give it to us now!

A message for parents

Dear parents,

It’s essential to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible sacrifices you make for your children. Your tireless dedication, the late nights, and the challenges you face are commendable. You consistently put aside your own needs and desires to ensure your children are well cared for.

Children can be challenging and may test your patience at times. However, it’s vital to approach these situations with understanding.

As you guide them and instill discipline, do so with love. Be mindful not to be overly harsh; accommodate their mistakes and help them find constructive paths forward.

Remember, life is a journey of phases. Your children are navigating their own paths of self-discovery, and it’s important to allow them the space to grow without unnecessary pressure.

Dear Teachers, we are concerned about your performance and productivity, so here are some safety tips for you as you go about your duties.

Here are "Stay Out of Trouble" Tips for school teachers resuming this 3rd term:

1. Punctuality:
Arrive at school early; lateness can lead to salary deductions or queries.

2. Dressing & Appearance:
Dress neatly and modestly; look smart and professional at all times.

3. Handling Parents:
Listen calmly, respond politely, and never argue with parents—even when they’re wrong.

4. Professional Conduct:
Avoid collecting or eating pupils’ food—it’s unprofessional and can lead to reports.

5. Lesson Preparation:
Study and prepare well before each class. A well-taught lesson boosts confidence and reduces stress.

6. Classroom Communication:
Speak respectfully to every child. Avoid insults, shouting, or sarcasm.

7. Documentation:
Keep your lesson notes, records, and registers up to date. They’re your defence during evaluations.

8. Avoid Gossip & Cliques:
Stay out of staffroom gossip and conflicts. Be friendly, but focused.

9. Follow School Policies:
Know and follow your school’s rules—even the unpopular ones.

10. Seek Help Wisely:
If you face a challenge, speak to a senior or admin in private—never in front of pupils or parents.

This is a wake-up call for parents to prayerfully consider which country, state, city, region, and type of school they wish to raise their children in. There is growing pressure for people to conform to unethical standards.

Educational institutions have gradually transformed into centres of subtle manipulation, indoctrination, and coercion, pushing individuals to accept values that contradict their personal convictions and moral upbringing.

What was once regarded as acceptable societal norms has now been discarded and thrown away.

We observe societies that were once celebrated for promoting and upholding high moral standards, decency, good social ethics, freedom of association, freedom of expression, and respect for religion and the fear of God now deteriorating into places of horror.

Institutions of learning are now perceived as threatening and punishing to students because of their faith.

The environment in which a child grows has a significant impact on their upbringing.

The surrounding context plays a crucial role in shaping the child's future.

Unfortunately, the home environment appears to be under threat. Family values and moral standards are increasingly challenged as children interact with their peers. Rather than serve as positive role models, many older individuals are displaying various vices in front of younger people.

Moreover, it is disheartening that even the government has restricted parents' ability to raise their children properly and decently. This situation has contributed to the rise of numerous societal issues.
