Human Rights and Conflicts Resolution Centre (HRCRC) recognizes that decent work, fair treatment, and safe working conditions are fundamental human rights, not privileges.

As we mark this day, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting justice, protecting workers’ rights, and supporting peaceful resolution of workplace and community disputes.

Every worker deserves respect. Every voice deserves to be heard.

Keeping with one of our core values - a preferential option for the most vulnerable of society, HRCRC is currently facilitating justice, recognition and dignity for some Persons with Disability, who have been unjustly treated, maligned, intimidated and denied access to their property and resources by the greed and corruption of one (or more) influential individuals in Ngbo-Agbaja community of Ebonyi State.

As litigation is a last resort for us, after investigations, HRCRC, in collaboration with the traditional leader and council facilitated a mediation session with all parties involved with the aim of seeking a peaceful amicable resolution to the dispute; and the justice due to the PWDs is accorded them.

We work in high stress situations and environments, situations and contexts – in the areas of Human Rights upholding and advocacy, and Conflict Resolution and Management, as well as Access to Mental Wellness. As such, HRCRC collaborated the Nigeria red cross society to build the capacity of our team and volunteers/branches living and working in the hinterlands to respond to and provide First Aid services when needed in our areas of intervention and in the course of our work. The first of the trainings for the Team held in our office.
