There’s something powerful about showing up for young people at the right time.

Yesterday at Goodman Academy, what started as a quiet, almost uninterested room soon turned into a moment of transformation.

In just 35 minutes, conversations around purpose, choices, and discipline sparked something deeper.

Hearts opened. Attention shifted. Lives were touched.

The good news?

Today at the state university Permanent Site Campus, over 100 freshers gathered for the DEMUREXXY Freshers Orientation Program, and what an incredible time it was!

We say a big THANK YOU to DemureXXY Foundation for championing this vision, and special appreciation to our Executive Director, Barr. Peace Uyeh-George, for her leadership, guidance, and passion for shaping young minds.

In partnership with the faculty of health sciences and technology, Presco campus...Ebonyi State University, DemureXXY Foundation will be hosting an orientation program for the new 100 level students.

The event will cover:

📌 Personal stories from best students EBSU
📌Finding your way around campus(EBSU map)

It was another impactful outing for the DemureXXY Foundation team as we visited Child Secondary School, Abakaliki for a dual-impact session with teachers and students.

The teachers’ seminar began with our Executive Director, Barr. Peace Uyeh-George, introducing the foundation and our mission. She then handed over to Mr Sanusi Ahes Abdul, who delivered an insightful session on “Teaching as a Collaborative Profession.” It was both inspiring and thought-provoking, leaving the teachers refreshed and motivated.

Meanwhile, Barr. Peace George held a powerful session with the female students on “Being an Exceptional Student.” She also addressed the sensitive topic of sexual purity, teaching the girls about discipline, self-worth, and godly values. The session ended with one-on-one counselling sessions.

Refreshments were shared, and a certificate of participation was presented to the school’s principal in appreciation.

We celebrate our ED and volunteers who made this outreach a success.
Indeed, destinies were transformed, and the next generation was empowered for purpose.

From powerful speeches to the creative SDG-themed presentations by pupils — every moment at the Young Changemakers SDGs Summit was a reminder that the future is bright when we empower young minds.

We’re proud to have joined White Cloud School and other partners in inspiring the next generation of peacebuilders and problem-solvers in Ebonyi State.

Here are some highlights from the event held at the Akanu Ibiam International Conference Centre, Abakaliki — themed “Small Hands, Big Impact: Driving the Global Goals.”
