Life with the Holy Ghost can be really funny. 🤣😊
Many times, I would type out a message, edit it carefully, and proofread it several times. Just when I'm about to hit the "POST" button, the Holy Spirit would simply say,
"Do not post it. Delete it now."
☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sometimes, I would burst into laughter. If I'm alone, I could literally bend my head and laugh for several minutes. 🤣
It's even funnier when I imagine Him standing right beside me, looking over my shoulder as I type every single word. He quietly watches me write, edit, and proofread everything. Then, after I have finished all the work, He simply says,
"DON'T POST IT." 🤣🤣🤣
At that moment, so many questions begin to run through my mind.
Why didn't He tell me from the beginning not to write it in the first place? 🤣
Why did He wait until I had exhausted my time and energy writing the article? 🤣
Why did He even give me the inspiration to know what to write if He didn't want me to post it? 🤣
These are the questions I usually ask myself whenever I receive His "DON'T POST IT" instruction.
As I laugh hard while pondering those questions, I can almost imagine Him laughing too. 🤣🤣🤣
The Holy Ghost is so sweet. I lie not. Life without Him can be very boring. 🥰🥰🥰😊😊😊
Then He began to teach me. He said,
Some of the things God reveals to us were meant for our personal consumption and edification. They were for our personal dealings, and not for the public.
A bricklayer has to make sure that the foundation of a house he is laying is very strong so that it can carry other blocks, and the entire building at large.
God wants those messages to form us first. And when we have gained mastery in that area He is pointing at, He can then release us to train others with it. It's not wise to teach people how to weld a weapon you don't know how to use first. Any principle you have not proven, you should not teach others about it.
Those words changed the way I see divine revelation.
Not every revelation is meant for publication.
Not every lesson is meant to become a sermon.
Some truths are God's private workshop where He patiently shapes us before He ever presents us to people.
Far too often, we are eager to teach what we have only heard, instead of what we have genuinely lived. But God is more interested in building our character than increasing our audience. Before He entrusts us with a message for others, He often allows that message to first do its work in us.
Saints, following the leading of the Holy Spirit is amazing. Listen to Him always.
So henceforth, if you write a post and want to publish it, but you feel restrained in your spirit, please don't post it.
There are people who have not yet learned to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit distinctly. To such people, the Holy Spirit often guides them through promptings, convictions, and gentle restraints.
So whenever you get that inward feeling of "DO NOT POST IT," don't ignore it.
It doesn't matter how powerful the message is or how many people you think it will bless. Until you receive peace and a release in your heart, let that message remain with you.
There is a reason God is asking you to keep it.
Even John, the beloved apostle, was instructed not to publish everything he heard from Heaven.
"And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down." Revelation 10:4
Not every divine encounter is for public consumption.
Some revelations are sacred.
Some instructions are personal.
Some words are simply God's way of building you before sending you.
May we never become so eager to speak that we ignore the Spirit who gives us the words in the first place.
