Wednesday Online Mentorship Class Highlights

Welcome to the highlights from our Wednesday Online Mentorship Class, held every Wednesday at 9:00 PM on our WhatsApp Group Platform with Emenike Louis.

We have been discussing the topic:

“How to Distinguish Between the Voice of God, the Voice of the Devil, and Your Own Voice.”

Every human being hears three major voices:
1. The voice of God.
2. The voice of the devil.
3. Your own voice (the voice of your mind).

Last week, we began by discussing the voice of God. We learned that:
• The voice of God brings peace.
• The voice of God never contradicts the Word of God.
• Jesus said in John 10:3–4, 27 that His sheep know His voice, hear His voice, and follow Him.

As children of God, we must learn to recognize His voice and obey Him.

The Voice of the Devil

Today, we focused on the voice of the devil.

According to John 10:10, the devil comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. He is a deceiver, an accuser, and one who seeks to draw people away from God.

One important truth to remember is this:

The devil operates only within the limits God permits. He does not have unlimited authority over your life. If he had absolute power, no one would survive. Instead, the devil looks for opportunities. He works wherever he is given access.

Never give the devil access into your life. Stand firmly on the Word of God. When you hold tightly to God’s Word, there is no room for the devil to operate.

Remember this:

If you give the devil a lift today, tomorrow he will take over the entire stadium.

That is why we must never give him even a small opportunity.

The Example of Eve

In Genesis 3, the serpent approached Eve.

God had already spoken His Word concerning the forbidden fruit. Instead of standing firmly on God’s instruction, Eve entered into a conversation with the serpent.

The devil asked questions, and Eve began revealing what God had said.

Not every revelation should be shared. Some instructions God gives you are meant to be treasured and obeyed, not exposed carelessly. Sometimes, unnecessary discussions become the doorway through which temptation enters.

The serpent then contradicted God’s Word by saying:

“You shall not surely die.”

God said one thing, but Satan said the opposite.

This is exactly how the devil works today. He promotes false doctrines, false prophecies, fake miracles, and deceptive teachings to pull people away from the truth.

As Eve continued listening, she eventually believed the lie, desired the fruit, and ate it. Disobedience brought disappointment and separation from God.

Jesus Showed Us the Right Response

In Matthew 4:8–10, Satan tempted Jesus by offering Him all the kingdoms of the world if He would bow down and worship him.

Jesus did not negotiate with Satan.

He simply declared:

“Get behind me, Satan! For it is written…”

Jesus answered every temptation with the Word of God.

This is how every believer should respond. Do not entertain the devil. Do not negotiate with temptation. Reject it immediately with the Word of God.

The longer you listen to the devil, the greater the chance of accepting his lies.

How to Recognize the Voice of the Devil

The voice of the devil:
• Contradicts the Word of God.
• Produces fear instead of peace.
• Brings confusion instead of clarity.
• Condemns instead of leading to repentance.
• Accuses instead of restoring.
• Promotes deception and falsehood.
• Draws people away from God.

Someone may tell you to knowingly do what is wrong and later ask God for forgiveness. That is not the voice of God.

Whenever any voice encourages sin or contradicts Scripture, recognize that it is not from God.

Remember that the voice of God, the voice of the devil, and even your own thoughts often sound like your own inner voice. Therefore, you cannot judge by the sound alone—you must judge by the message.

Ask yourself:
• Does this agree with God’s Word?
• Does it produce peace or fear?
• Does it glorify Christ or satisfy the flesh?

The content of the message reveals the source of the voice.

Final Encouragement

Do not do business with the devil. Anyone who partners with him will always suffer loss.

Do not embrace the doctrines of darkness, because whatever you embrace today will influence your future.

Instead, remain close to God.

Study His Word.

Pray consistently.

When you pray, also learn to listen. God is a loving Father. He speaks with peace, wisdom, truth, and direction.

The more you know the voice of God, the less likely you are to walk in error.

May the Lord grant us spiritual discernment to recognize His voice and reject every voice of deception.

Highlights from Our Monday Online Prayer Meeting

Topic: God’s Purpose Cannot Be Cursed (Part 3)

Text: Numbers 23:1-30

Our meeting was powerful as we explored the truth that God’s purpose and blessing upon His people cannot be reversed by any power of darkness.

1. God’s Blessing Cannot Be Reversed

Balak took Balaam from one location to another, hoping to find a place where Israel could be cursed. Unknown to the Israelites, plans were being made against them behind the scenes. In the same way, many believers are unaware of the spiritual battles being fought concerning their lives.

However, God had already declared in Numbers 22:12:

“Do not curse these people, for they are blessed.”

Child of God, you are blessed. Every curse, enchantment, and evil pronouncement against your life is powerless before God’s blessing. What God has blessed, no man can curse.

2. Spiritual Position Determines Spiritual Protection

Numbers 23:9 reveals that Israel was a people set apart unto God.

“The people shall dwell alone.”

Their security was found in their covenant relationship with God. Likewise, our greatest protection is not in our strength but in our walk with God. Stay connected to Him and remain under His covering.

3. God Does Not Change His Mind

Numbers 23:19 reminds us that God is not like man.

“God is not a man, that He should lie.”

Human promises may fail, but every promise God makes will surely come to pass. His word concerning your life remains settled forever.

4. No Enchantment Can Overthrow God’s Purpose

Numbers 23:23 declares:

“Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel.”

Every satanic manipulation, evil spell, curse, or demonic agenda against God’s people shall not prosper. God’s purpose for your life is stronger than every opposition.

5. God Sees His People Through Redemption

Numbers 23:21 reveals a powerful truth: God viewed Israel through His covenant mercy.

Today, God sees believers through the finished work of Jesus Christ and His precious blood. The blood of Jesus provides forgiveness, protection, and access to God.

Remain in fellowship with Christ and do not depart from the covenant secured through His sacrifice.

6. Beware of Balaam’s Error

After Balaam realized he could not curse Israel directly, he advised Balak to entice them into sin and idolatry. This strategy brought judgment upon Israel because they opened the door themselves.

The enemy often succeeds not through direct attacks but through temptation, compromise, and disobedience.

Therefore:
• Avoid sinful compromises.
• Stay away from idolatry and ungodly influences.
• Remain faithful to God’s Word.
• Guard your spiritual life diligently.

7. Opposition Is Not Proof of Defeat

The repeated attempts of Balak against Israel revealed something important: they were blessed.

Sometimes the intensity of spiritual opposition is evidence that God’s hand is upon your life. Do not be discouraged by challenges. Stand firm in faith and remember God’s promises.

Conclusion

No matter how many times the enemy attempts to stop God’s plan, His purpose will prevail. You are blessed, redeemed, protected, and preserved by God.

Keep your eyes on Christ, remain in covenant with Him, and walk in obedience. God’s purpose for your life cannot be cursed.

Prayer:
Father, thank You because Your blessing upon our lives cannot be reversed. Let every evil plan, enchantment, and satanic manipulation fail in Jesus’ name. Strengthen us to walk faithfully with You and fulfill Your purpose for our lives. Amen.
