A HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS TO A BROTHER, A FRIEND, AND A FATHER FIGURE — ENGR EMMANUEL MADUFORO UFOMBA

Today, I write with immense joy, pride, and a heart full of gratitude to celebrate one of our own, Engr Emmanuel Maduforo Ufomba, the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Abia Lane Network Corporation, Leader of the Labour Party (LP) in Osisioma Ngwa and Osokwa Ward, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ikemba Osokwa Foundation, on his well-deserved appointment by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, to coordinate Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency in the forthcoming elections.

My dear brother, friend, and father figure, this appointment is a profound recognition of your leadership, dedication, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the progress of our people. It is a testament to the confidence reposed in your capacity to unite, inspire, and provide purposeful leadership.

For us at Ikemba Osokwa Foundation, this is a moment of immense pride. We celebrate not merely an appointment but the elevation of a man whose contributions, sacrifices, and enduring commitment to the collective good have continued to distinguish him.

The journey ahead calls for unity, discipline, responsibility, and collective purpose. I therefore call on all members, friends, and supporters of Ikemba Osokwa Foundation to rally around our Chairman, offer him the necessary encouragement, and demonstrate the solidarity that has always defined our association.

A MESSAGE TO THOSE EXPRESSING CONCERNS ABOUT ROAD GRADING IN OSOKWA

To those who have expressed concerns about road grading in Osokwa, let me make this clear: road grading is a seasonal activity, traditionally undertaken during the dry season. We have already outlined several events and initiatives, including philanthropic activities, that are intended to benefit our people. Time will tell, and our actions will speak louder than words.

However, there are those who will find fault in everything one does, not because the intentions are wrong, but simply because they harbour personal resentment. We have a dream, we have a vision, and we are committed to building a better Osokwa Nation.

Let me further clarify something. The reason you are more aware of the football competition is that its Local Organising Committee (LOC) commenced preparations three to four months ahead of the event. Road grading, on the other hand, is a project that can be mobilised and executed within a day. A contractor can be engaged today and be on the streets as early as the following morning.

Therefore, do not be too quick to judge or make statements that may eventually undermine your own credibility. Constructive criticism is welcome, but premature conclusions do not help the cause of our community.

As Ikemba Osokwa, I am reaching out to our brothers and sisters across Osokwa, as well as friends, political associates and well-wishers, to join us in what promises to be an extraordinary football tournament—the first of its kind in our community.

This initiative is much bigger than football. It is an opportunity to bring people together, strengthen our bonds, attract meaningful partnerships and encourage infrastructural development across Osokwa land.

The vision is not merely to gather, play football and disperse. It is to create a platform that inspires development, philanthropy, unity and lasting impact. That is the spirit we must embrace, and that is the way forward for Osokwa.

Let us remain focused on the bigger picture. Our community deserves more than division, suspicion and unnecessary criticism. It deserves vision, commitment and action.

‎INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE BY CHIEF (PRINCE) JUSTICE CHINONSO UJOUMUNNA, PhD

‎On this historic occasion marking 66 years of Nigeria’s Independence, I join millions of Nigerians at home and abroad to celebrate our great nation and to honour the sacrifices of those who fought, laboured and believed in the dream of a free and prosperous Nigeria.
‎
‎On 1st October 1960, Nigeria became an independent sovereign nation. Sixty-six years later, our journey has been marked by remarkable achievements, difficult moments, setbacks, resilience and an enduring hope for a better tomorrow.
‎
‎To the good people of Osisioma North and Nigerians everywhere, I say: DO NOT GIVE UP.
‎
‎Whatever challenges you are facing today—economic hardship, unemployment, rising costs, insecurity, uncertainty or personal struggles—remain resilient. Do not allow temporary difficulties to destroy your hope for a better future.
‎
‎Nigeria belongs to all of us.
‎
‎Our responsibility is not merely to complain about the condition of our society; it is also to remain conscious, engaged and determined to contribute to the Nigeria we want our children and future generations to inherit.
‎
‎As we gradually approach another general election, this is a time for every Nigerian to awaken politically and prepare both the mind and conscience.
‎
‎Let us ask ourselves difficult but necessary questions:
‎
‎What kind of leadership do we want?
‎
‎What kind of society are we building for our children?
‎
‎What kind of Nigeria will the next generation inherit from us?
‎
‎The decisions made at the ballot box are not simply about today. They can influence the direction of our communities, our economy, our security, our education, our opportunities and the future available to our children.

‎Therefore, when the time comes, let every citizen exercise the right to vote consciously, peacefully and responsibly.
‎
‎Let us examine records.
‎Let us listen to policies.
‎Let us ask questions.
‎Let us demand accountability.
‎Let us reject political apathy.
‎And let us never surrender our conscience for temporary gratification.
‎
‎THE NEXT FOUR YEARS MATTER.
‎
‎They matter to us.
‎They matter to our children.
‎They matter to those yet unborn.
‎
‎This is why we must prepare ourselves—not with anger, hatred or division, but with wisdom, courage, discernment and a deep understanding of our civic responsibility.

‎My message to Osisioma North is simple:

‎REMAIN RESILIENT. REMAIN FOCUSED. REMAIN HOPEFUL.

‎Our present circumstances may not be everything we desire, but our story is not finished.

‎Nigeria’s greatest asset remains her people—their creativity, courage, enterprise, resilience and capacity to rise again.

‎As we celebrate 66 years of independence, may we recommit ourselves to building a Nigeria where every child has opportunity, every citizen can dream, and leadership is measured by service, accountability and impact.

‎Nigeria will rise.

‎But the Nigeria we build tomorrow will depend greatly on the choices, sacrifices and responsibilities we embrace today.
