🎣⚡ WHAT A WEEKEND! ⚡🎣
The final Interclub Nationals at Hardap Dam certainly went out with a bang — and once again, Mother Nature reminded us who’s really in charge! 🌊⛈️
The drama started before the lines even hit the water. Rain along the road to Hardap had everyone wondering what the weekend would bring… but nobody was ready for what Saturday had in store! 😳
As the clouds rolled in, the rain started coming down — but it was the electric atmosphere that really got everyone’s attention! ⚡🎣
Anglers began experiencing static electric shocks through their fishing rods. With lightning flashing across the dam, safety had to come first. 🚨
The ho**er sounded at 2:00 PM, bringing Saturday’s session to an early end instead of the planned 4:00 PM finish. Anglers quickly packed up and headed for the safety of their vehicles.
And then… the storm hit! 🌪️🌨️
Howling winds, heavy rain and hail battered the dam, sending stands and rods crashing to the ground. From the safety of their vehicles, anglers could only watch as the storm unleashed its full force.
With conditions becoming extremely dangerous, the decision was made to officially call an end to Saturday’s angling.
🌞 BUT SUNDAY WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY!
The skies cleared, the sun came out, and Hardap Dam showed everyone why we love this place! 😎🎣
Sunday delivered beautiful weather and some amazing catches, bringing the last interclub to a fantastic close. 🐟🏆
A massive WELL DONE to every angler who braved the unpredictable conditions, stayed positive and continued to give it their all! 💪🔥
It was wild. It was challenging. It was unforgettable.
Hardap Dam definitely saved some drama for the finale! 🎣⚡🏆

Thank you for your support, encouragement, patience and sacrifices. Thank you to the families who let us pack the vehicles, load the fishing gear and head off to the dam weekend after weekend. 🎣❤️
Thank you for allowing us to chase the sport we love, for understanding the long days, early mornings, weekends away and everything that comes with being an angler.
