WE’RE HIRING: OPERATIONS & GROWTH MANAGER
The Namibian Organic Association (www.noa.org.na) and Living Earth Projects (Pty) Ltd (www.living-earth.africa) are looking for an experienced, hands-on, energetic and entrepreneurial person to professionally run and grow both organisations.
This is not a conventional administrative role. We need someone who can turn ideas into action, create momentum and bring together farmers, consumers, businesses, communities, government, researchers and funders.
The successful candidate will help:
• Grow NOA’s membership, services and national profile.
• Build the NOA brand and encourage consumers to understand, seek out and choose organic products.
• Develop Living Earth’s projects, businesses, markets and practical knowledge products.
• Identify and help remove bottlenecks across Namibia’s regenerative value chains.
• Build partnerships and connect promising initiatives with the people, markets and capital they need.
• Develop sustainable income so both organisations can grow increasingly independent of grants and sponsorships.
This is an opportunity to help build the organisations, markets and connections needed for a stronger organic and regenerative Namibia.
We are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with practical execution—someone who sees opportunities, builds relationships, follows through and gets things done.

Successful Mushroom Cultivation Training with UNAM!

We are excited to share that our 4-day Mushroom Cultivation Training, held from 28th – 31st July 2026 in collaboration with the University of Namibia, was a great success!

Our participants gained hands-on experience and practical skills in oyster mushroom farming. A big thank you to our facilitator, Ms Isabella Ueitele, for her expert guidance throughout the training.

What participants learned:

· How to explain and apply basic skills involved in the cultivation of oyster mushrooms
· Preparing mushroom cultures and spawn
· How to avoid contamination in cultures and spawn
· Identifying different materials that can be used as mushroom substrates
· Preparing and inoculating substrates
· Naming different materials used to make spawn
· Describing the basic structure and components of a mushroom house and how to maintain them
· Post-harvest processes – harvesting, packaging, preserving, and basic marketing knowledge

The workshop was a success and participants left feeling empowered and excited about mushroom farming. We look forward to hosting more workshops in the future!
