Happy Heroes' Day, Namibia!

Today we remember the men and women who gave everything so we could live free. Their courage didn't end with them — it lives on in how we choose to protect and care for one another, especially our children.

At LifeLine/ChildLine Namibia, we like to think honouring our heroes also means being one — for a child who needs someone to trust, a listening ear, or a safe place to turn to.

Take a moment today to remember, to be grateful, and to pass on that same courage.

Day 3 and the final day of our Personal Growth & Professional Development Training with the MANICA Group comes to an end! 🎉

Today was a meaningful day of reflection, vulnerability and growth as we explored decision-making, perceptions and perspectives, death and grieving, and more.

We were reminded that while we support and care for others, we are human too. Taking care of ourselves and acknowledging our emotions is an important part of personal growth.

And, of course, the highlight we had all been waiting for — the Guardian Angels Box reveal! 🎁✨ After three days of learning, sharing and growing together, it was beautiful to see everyone discover their Guardian Angels.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these three days so impactful. Here’s to continued growth, connection and self-discovery! 🌱

Personal Growth & Professional Development | Day 1 Done & Dusted!
Today, we proudly kicked off our 3-day Personal Growth & Professional Development Training with the MANICA GROUP HR team and other staff members. Employee wellness is an essential part of a healthy and productive workplace. But supporting employees effectively also means equipping the people who are there to listen, guide, support and make a difference in the lives of others.

Day 1 focused on creating a space for self-reflection, personal growth, meaningful conversations and professional development reminding us that before we can effectively support others, we also need to understand and invest in ourselves.
And just like that… Day 1 is done and dusted! Two more days of learning, growth and building stronger, healthier teams ahead. We are looking forward to what the next two days will bring!
Invest in your people. Strengthen your team. Build a healthier workplace.

Happy International Youth Day!

On the 12th of August every year, we celebrate the voices, dreams, talents, and potential of young people everywhere.

Under the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” we recognize that while young people may grow up in different circumstances, they share common hopes for opportunities to learn, grow, and shape a better future.

Let’s continue creating spaces where every young person is heard, supported, and empowered to thrive. 🌱✨

This World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we raise awareness of the hidden dangers of human trafficking and stand in solidarity with survivors.

This year's theme, "Trapped Behind the Scam," highlights the alarming rise in trafficking through online scam operations, where individuals are deceived, coerced, and forced into criminal activities.

If you or someone you know needs support, free and confidential psycho-social services are available for both adults and children.

📞 Call 106 (GBV Helpline) or 116 (ChildLine) – Toll-free. Confidential. We're here for you.

Today was unlike any other stakeholder engagement!

We had the honour of hosting representatives from our long-time donor, the Liselotte Foundation, here at LifeLine/ChildLine Namibia. The visit included press engagements, administrative discussions, a walkthrough of our current projects and developments across Namibia, plenty of laughs, and an office tour.

A heartfelt thank you to the ever-dedicated Karsten Timmer and esteemed Chairwoman of the Board, Regina Michaels-Braun, for your visit, and for your continued investment, belief, and commitment in developing Namibia’s children and communities.

Partnerships like these remind us why the work we do matters.
