🐈🐈‍⬛ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – WINDHOEK HIGH SCHOOL FERAL CAT COLONY! 🐾❤️🥹

Calling all our wonderful cat lovers in Windhoek! ❤️

We are looking for ONE or TWO or THREE kind-hearted volunteers who would be willing to help us care for the feral cat colony at Windhoek High School (WHS).

At the moment, we have only ONE dedicated volunteer (Saskia) looking after the feeding stations, and I (Stefanie) help out whenever she is out of town or unavailable.

We would absolutely LOVE to find another helping hand or two to share the responsibility! 🥹❤️

🐾 SO, WHAT WOULD YOU NEED TO DO?

It’s actually very simple! ☺️

We have ONLY TWO established CPSN feeding stations at Windhoek High School, situated close to each other.

Your duties would be:

🐈 Refill the dry cat food at both stations.

🐈 Clean and refill their drinking water.

🐈 Bring fresh water in 5-litre canisters (we can provide canisters if needed).

🐈 Make sure the feeding stations are clean and tidy.

That’s it! ❤️

⏰ HOW MUCH TIME WOULD IT TAKE?

Both stations can be attended to in a MAXIMUM of ONE HOUR, once a week!

And here’s the best part! 😻

If we find another one or two volunteers, we can work on a rotating schedule, meaning you won’t necessarily have to go every week!

The more helping hands we have, the easier it becomes for everyone. ❤️

🐾 WE PROVIDE EVERYTHING!

❤️ All the cat food is supplied by CPSN.

❤️ We will show you exactly how the feeding stations work.

❤️ No previous experience is necessary.

❤️ You just need a little time, transport and a love for animals!

🥹 WHY ARE WE ASKING FOR HELP?

Our feral cats depend on us.

They cannot simply walk into someone’s home and ask for food. Many of them are frightened of people, and some will never become tame enough to be adopted.

But that doesn’t mean they deserve any less care, kindness or compassion. ❤️

These feeding stations provide them with a reliable source of food, fresh water and a little security in a world that isn’t always kind to stray and feral animals.

And behind every feeding station is a volunteer who makes sure those bowls are never forgotten. 🐈🐈‍⬛

We know everyone has busy lives, families, work and responsibilities. Believe me, we understand! ☺️

But perhaps there is someone out there who can spare just ONE hour every few weeks to make a difference?

Even one additional volunteer would mean so much to us! 🥹❤️

Could you spare just 2 hours every 3rd or 4th week to help our feral cats? 🥹❤️

Calling all our wonderful cat lovers in Windhoek! 🐈🐈‍⬛

Heike and I (Stefanie) are desperately looking for ONE or TWO kind-hearted volunteers to help us care for our feral cat colonies.

At the moment, we are back to just the two of us, and although we absolutely love what we do, a little extra help would make such a difference! ❤️

🐾 SO, WHAT WOULD YOU NEED TO DO?

It’s actually quite simple! ☺️

We have 4 established CPSN feeding stations, all situated close to one another:

📍 2 stations at Arebbusch Travel Lodge
📍 2 stations in the Innibos Guesthouse / Hennie’s Pub area.

All four stations can be attended to in approximately 1 to 1½ hours, so there is very little driving involved!

Your duties would be:
🐾 Refill the cat food at all four stations.
🐾 Clean and refill their drinking water.
🐾 Bring water in 5-litre canisters (we can provide canisters if needed!).
🐾 Occasionally assist with TNR (Trap–Neuter–Return) activities, if you’re willing.

❤️ WE PROVIDE EVERYTHING!

🐈 All the cat food is supplied.
🐈 We will show you exactly how everything works.
🐈 No previous experience is necessary!
🐈 You won’t be doing this alone until you’re comfortable with the routine.

⏰ AND HERE’S THE BEST PART!

You do NOT have to volunteer every week!

We work on a rotating schedule, so with a few extra helping hands, you would only need to spare approximately 2 hours every THIRD or FOURTH week! 🙏

That’s just a couple of hours out of your month to make a real difference in the lives of cats who depend on us. ❤️

🏡 LIVE NEARBY? EVEN BETTER!

If you live in Olympia, Cimbebasia, Kleine Kuppe or Suiderhof, these feeding stations are just a short drive away!

❤️ A LITTLE SOMETHING FROM OUR HEARTS…

We know everyone has busy lives. Between work, family, children and everything else life throws at us, free time is precious!

Believe us, we understand! 🥹

But these cats don’t understand weekends, holidays, busy schedules or tired humans.

They only know that someone comes to feed them. And they depend on that someone showing up. 🐈❤️

Heike and I have been doing our best to keep these feeding stations going, but sharing the responsibility with just one or two more people would mean the world to us.

And you know what? There is something incredibly rewarding about knowing that, because you gave up a little of your time, a hungry cat has food, fresh water and someone looking out for it. ❤️

We cannot take every single feral cat home, but together we CAN make their lives a little better.

🐾❤️ ANOTHER HAPPY ADOPTION! JIMMY & MILA HAVE FOUND THEIR FOREVER HOME! ❤️🐾

Some happy endings are just extra special! 🥹🥰

Our two precious foster kittens, Jimmy and Mila, have found their wonderful forever home with Gondwana! 🏡🐈🐈‍⬛

When Jes Bekker and Annette Beyers from Gondwana came to meet these two little sweethearts, it was love at first sight! ❤️ The kittens immediately felt comfortable with both ladies, and we knew something wonderful was happening!

We had the pleasure of fostering Jimmy and Mila for another four weeks while their new home at the lodge was being prepared. During that time, both were sterilised and vaccinated, ready for their exciting new adventure. 🐾

And now, the best part — they get to stay together! ❤️

A HUGE heartfelt thank you to Jes, Annette and Gondwana for opening your hearts and giving these two beautiful rescue kittens a loving home.

As a foster mommy, saying goodbye is never easy, but knowing they are loved, safe and have a wonderful future ahead makes every moment worthwhile. 🥹❤️

🐾 THE BEST KIND OF HAPPY ENDING! 🐾

Shadow, Cami and Luna have found their forever home — together! ❤️🏡

These three beautiful adult cats were left behind when their owners moved abroad, and we knew finding a home for three adult cats together would not be easy. But sometimes the right people come along. 🥹

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Elna and Johann for opening their hearts and home to all three. They are already settling in beautifully and becoming part of the family. 🐈‍⬛🐾🐈

For us, this adoption is extra special. Adult cats are often overlooked, and keeping these three together means they don’t have to lose each other after already losing the home they knew.

Three cats. One wonderful home. One very happy ending. ❤️

Most feral cats are not “mean.”

They are scared.

They have learned that staying hidden is safer. That running away is smarter. That trusting too quickly can cost them food, safety, or even their life.

So when one eats from a bowl you leave out…

or sleeps near a shelter you placed quietly in a corner…

it may not look like a big moment to everyone else.

But to that cat, it can mean something important.

For one small part of the day, they did not have to search, fight, freeze, or wonder where help might come from.

Sometimes kindness is not dramatic.

Sometimes it is simply showing a frightened cat that the world still has one safe place left.

🐾 URGENT APPEAL — OUR FERALS NEED YOUR HELP 🐾

Our food supplies are running dangerously low, and so are our funds. Yet tomorrow morning, and the morning after that, the cats will still be waiting for us. 💔

The feral colonies cared for by the Cat Protection Society of Namibia depend on us for food, veterinary treatment and ongoing care. For many of these cats, the bowl we fill may be the only reliable meal they receive.

Today, we are asking our wonderful community to please help us fill those bowls. 🙏

💔 NOT ONE ENQUIRY FOR MOCHI…

We posted beautiful little Mochi hoping someone would fall in love with her.

So far, not one person has asked about her. 😔

And we really don’t understand why.

Mochi is only 11 months old. She is sterilised, vaccinated, used to living indoors and she is an absolute cuddle bug. She will climb onto your lap for love and happily make herself part of your family. 🖤🤍

She didn’t lose her home because she did anything wrong. Her owner was forced by the landlord to give her up.

Now she is waiting for someone to choose her.

Maybe black-and-white cats don’t always stand out amongst all the adoption posts. Maybe her little crooked tail makes her look a little different.

But Mochi doesn’t need to be perfect. She just needs to be someone’s. ❤️

Please help us find the person who will look at her and say:

“I’ll give her a home.”
