👁️ WORLD SIGHT DAY | 8 OCTOBER 2026 🌍💛

Every child deserves the chance to see their future.

Vision is more than seeing the world around us. It means learning, growing, playing, connecting – and having the opportunity to build a brighter future.

On World Sight Day, we join Lions around the world in shining a light on the importance of eye health and access to vision care.

At the Windhoek Lions Club, supporting children’s eye health is close to our hearts. Through our Vision for the Future initiative, we are working together with our partners to help children access the eye care and treatment they need.

Because sometimes, the gift of sight can change an entire life. 💛

🍻💙 Oktoberfest at Eros Manor! 🇩🇪🎉

Yesterday, the Windhoek Lions Club had the great pleasure of hosting a wonderful Oktoberfest at Eros Manor, bringing together almost 200 guests for an afternoon filled with laughter, music, good food and great company. 🥨🍺🎶

It was a joy to see so many smiling faces and to share a special day with the residents, their families, friends and guests. From traditional Oktoberfest spirit to warm conversations and lots of fun – the atmosphere was simply fantastic! ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this event possible – our dedicated Lions, the wonderful team at Eros Manor, our supporters, volunteers and everyone who joined us. Your time, energy and generosity made the day truly special.

For us as Lions, it is all about serving our community, bringing people together and making a difference – one smile at a time. 🦁💙

🌍🦁We were absolutely thrilled to welcome Markus Ming from Lions Club Zürich during his recent visit to Namibia again.

There is nothing quite like the global bond of Lions Clubs International, where no matter how far we are from home, we share the exact same mission: .

To mark this wonderful encounter, Markus presented us with the official Lions Club Zürich banner! 🇨🇭✨ This beautiful tradition follows our last meeting, where we proudly handed over our own Windhoek banner to him. 🇳🇦

But the exchange didn't stop there! Markus donation of cloths made a meaningful joint visits to the inspiring teams at Butterfly and Side by Side possible.
