We are excited to officially launch the IMYON Youth Spotlight Series, celebrating Indigenous Minority Youth making a meaningful impact through advocacy, leadership and community action.

For our first edition, we spotlight Regina Gainamses, IMYON Regional Chairperson for Khomas Region, a young leader using her voice and experiences to contribute to the advancement of Indigenous Minority communities.

Through this series, we celebrate our voices, our stories and our leadership.

Strengthening Indigenous Voices. Empowering the Next Generation. ✊🏽🌍

IMYON was honoured to attend the event hosted by Clocknet VTC ClockNet Vocational Training Centre bringing together indigenous minority students in a spirit of dialogue, collaboration, and shared purpose.

Our Secretary General, Ms. Nadia Araes, delivered a powerful keynote address, reaffirming IMYON’s unwavering commitment to advancing the rights, aspirations, and meaningful participation of indigenous communities, particularly indigenous youth. Her message served as a reminder that our voices are not only vital, they are instrumental in shaping a more inclusive and equitable future.

We are deeply grateful to Clocknet for the invitation and the opportunity to engage with fellow indigenous minority students, exchange ideas, build meaningful connections, and strengthen our collective vision for empowerment and sustainable change.

📢 OFFICIAL APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Indigenous Minorities Youth of Namibia Organization (IMYON) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Wally Ronaldo as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) and Executive Member of the organization.

Mr. Wally Ronaldo brings extensive expertise in Public Relations, Strategic Communications, Social Media Management, Media Relations, Brand Visibility, and Stakeholder Engagement. His wealth of experience within the media and communications landscape will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s public image, amplifying the voices of indigenous minority youth, and advancing our advocacy initiatives.

As a passionate communications professional, youth advocate, and trained journalist, Mr. Wally Ronaldo’s appointment marks a significant step in enhancing the organization’s outreach, engagement, and impact at local, national, and international levels.

We are delighted to welcome him to the leadership team and look forward to his valuable contribution as we continue to champion the rights, development, and empowerment of Indigenous Minorities in Namibia.

The Public Relations Officer, Ms Nadia Araës, accompanied by the Khomas Regional Chairperson, Ms Regina Gainamses as well as Students from the Education Support Program, Mr Kaupasaneua Kamuvete and Mr Nkotongo Lethus, under the Office of the Presidency, paid a courtesy to the Office of the Vice- President, H.E. Hon Lucia Witbooi.
The delegation expressed their gratitude to the Vice- President in facilitating the affairs of Indigenous communities, as well as creating a collaborative relationship with the Leadership of IMYON in realizing objects that are aligned for the betterment of our communities. This opportunity allowed for the students, on behalf of many others, to raise concerns on matters that directly affect them.
