Day 3 of the Workplace Union Representative Training!
The Workplace Union Representative Training, currently taking place from 15–17 June 2026 at the Atlantic Hotel, Walvis Bay, has brought together participants for three days of learning, collaboration, and empowerment.
Facilitated by Dr M. Akuupa, Ms S.M. Isala, and Ms Caroline Beukes, the training has equipped workplace union representatives with valuable knowledge and skills to effectively represent workers and contribute to stronger workplaces.
As we conclude today, we celebrate the commitment, engagement, and shared vision of empowering workers and strengthening workplaces.

The NQA Stakeholder Engagement Workshop was held from 07 to 08 April 2026 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort. The workshop brought together stakeholders in the education and training sector to discuss quality assurance, accreditation processes, and qualification development in Namibia.

Miss Lisetha Geises, Education Coordinator at the Labour Resource and Research Institute (LaRRI), attended the workshop as representative. The engagement provided clarity on NQA procedures, application requirements, accreditation standards, and qualification alignment.

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration, ensuring compliance with national standards, and improving the quality of education and training programmes. Overall, the workshop was informative and beneficial for all participants.

Yesterday, LaRRI proudly hosted the launch of the Labour Act Publication and the Green Hydrogen Position Paper at Thuringerhof Hotel, Windhoek.
The event featured opening remarks by Dr. Ikefelwa, LaRRI Director; an address by Mr. Hajo Lanz, FES Country Representative; and insightful presentations by Prof. Zongwe on the Labour Act Publication and Mr. Sophia Isalc on the Green Hydrogen Position Paper. We were also honoured by the presence of Hon. Justina Jonas, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of Labour in Parliament.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating knowledge shaping Namibia’s workforce and sustainable energy future.
