Imago Dei Namibia

Imago Dei helps various groups donate resources responsibly to make a positive impact on our society.

Imago Dei is an organisation that wants to make a meaningful contribution to mending brokenness and restoring human dignity for the people of Namibia. Imago Dei wants to make a different for people who want to give, people who take care of the needy, and for those who receive.

As the official implementation partner for the Capricorn Foundation, Imago Dei serves as the vital bridge connecting corporate generosity directly to community-based projects.

How Imago Dei facilitates this impact: Rather than operating projects directly, Imago Dei mobilises funding, assesses applications, channels resources responsibly, monitors implementation, and reports progress back to donors. This unique model empowers smaller community organisations to access the support they need to address hunger, poverty, violence, and neglect.

Through a N$998,200 contribution from the Capricorn Foundation this year, Imago Dei supported 9 key community projects out of its 36 overall initiatives, whilst also conducting capacity-building sessions to ensure long-term, effective project management on the ground.

Together, we ensure that every contribution creates transparent, measurable, and sustainable change.

This morning, we were delighted to welcome Marlize Horn and Veripura Muukua from the Capricorn Foundation to the Imago Dei offices for the official handover of the foundation's social investment of N$980,145.00.

This generous investment will be channelled directly into vital vulnerability projects across Namibia, supporting our ongoing efforts in food security, child protection, elderly care, and community empowerment.

As an implementation partner, Imago Dei works closely with the Capricorn Foundation to ensure that every dollar is stewarded transparently and deployed where the need is greatest.

A heartfelt thank you to the Capricorn Foundation for your unwavering belief in our mission and your continued commitment to uplifting Namibian communities.

Together, we are mending brokenness and restoring dignity.

Today, we celebrate the children of Namibia and the hope, potential and possibilities they represent.

Every child deserves access to education, nutritious food, care and opportunities that allow them to reach their full potential. When we invest in children today, we invest in stronger families, healthier communities and a brighter future for Namibia.

At Imago Dei, we believe that creating lasting change starts by supporting children and communities where it matters most.

This Day of the Namibian Child, let us remember that every child deserves to be seen, supported and given the opportunity to thrive.

Together, we can help build a brighter future for Namibia's children.

Creating lasting change requires strong organisations behind the work.

Imago Dei, together with Lithon Foundation and Civic +264, took part in the first Non-Profit Organisation Training initiative, focused on strengthening the knowledge, skills and capacity of welfare organisations.

When non-profit organisations are equipped to operate effectively, they are better positioned to serve their communities, manage resources and create sustainable impact.

Collaboration allows us to strengthen the sector as a whole, because lasting change is never achieved alone.

Together, we can build a stronger non-profit sector in Namibia.

Impact is more powerful when you can see it for yourself.

We value opportunities to connect our partners and donors with the projects they support, allowing them to meet the people behind the work and experience the impact within their communities.

From the Capricorn Changemakers outreach to Family of Hope Services to the Verburg Foundation delegation visiting A.K. Katangolo Pre-primary, these engagements demonstrate what is possible when people come together with a shared purpose.

Thank you to every partner who continues to walk alongside us.

Yesterday, 9 September, the Imago Dei team had the privilege of attending the launch of the Capricorn Group Social Value Report 2026.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Capricorn Foundation, Capricorn Group, and Bank Windhoek for their unwavering commitment, belief, and investment in our mission. As an implementation partner, their support enables us to bridge the gap between resources and vulnerable communities across Namibia, transforming lives through vital welfare, poverty relief, and school feeding initiatives.

Seeing our joint efforts highlighted in this year's Social Value Report is a powerful reminder of what true collaboration can achieve.
