The Namibian Deaf Sports Federation would like to warn all members and regional teams about unauthorized soccer activities that recently took place in Windhoek, specifically in Khomasdal.
The Vice President of NDSF, Mr. Sheya, already clarified the federation’s constitution during the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Despite this, some soccer teams ignored the federation’s regulations and procedures.
It has come to our attention that the event organized by All Deaf Stars FC was conducted without proper resources and official support. As a result, several teams from different regions experienced serious difficulties, including poor accommodation conditions where some participants slept overcrowded in one room in the ghetto area, while others had to stay with friends. In addition, teams had to cover their own transport, meals, and other expenses from their personal pockets.
NDSF remains the recognized body responsible for coordinating Deaf sports activities and sourcing funding for national events and development. We therefore urge all Deaf sports codes, clubs, and regional teams to work actively and officially with NDSF to ensure proper organization, athlete welfare, and accountability.
Furthermore, NDSF is currently preparing for the National Games scheduled to take place in Outjo in August 2026. The official dates will be announced once funding has been secured.
We encourage unity, cooperation, and respect for the federation’s structures for the benefit and growth of Deaf sports in Namibia.
