"Many of our citizens continue to face poverty and inequality. Many families are still seeking meaningful employment, decent housing, and access to basic services that allow them to live with dignity. As I often say, “We are too few to be poor.”

"The most meaningful way we can safeguard our hard-won independence is through deliberate social, economic, and psychological transformation." Statement by H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic Namibia on the Occasion of the Commemoration of the 36Th Independence Day

Cde. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah Namibian Presidency , it's time to work on the "We are too few to be poor" statement. Implement a universal Basic Income Grant (BIG) of at least N$500.00 for all Namibians aged 0-59 to fight poverty once and for all.

People require cash to escape poverty and live dignified lives, enabling them to make decisions about their own lives.

The most successful piece of propaganda in history is four words long:

"Money can't buy happiness."

This is a lie designed to keep you poor.

Have you ever noticed who says this phrase?

It is never the single mother working three jobs to feed her kids.

It is never the man who can't afford his father's life-saving surgery.

It is never the student drowning in debt.

It is said by the Wealthy to the Poor.

It is a "pacifier" handed down by the Elites to keep the workforce from revolting.

They want you to believe that there is "nobility" in struggle.

They want you to romanticize your own poverty.

Let’s be honest about the mechanics of reality.

Does a Lamborghini make you happy?

Maybe for a week. Then it’s just a car.

But that is not what money is.

Money is not "Luxury."

Money is Options.

Money buys the ability to say "No" to a toxic boss.

Money buys the best healthcare for your family.

Money buys you out of a dangerous neighborhood.

Money buys you the one asset you can never get back: Time.

Poverty is not "humble."

Poverty is stressful.

It is a constant, low-level cortisol spike.

It is the inability to sleep because you are doing math in your head at 3 AM.

You cannot be "Happy" when you are in "Survival Mode."

It is biologically impossible to focus on "Self-Actualization" when you are worried about "Eviction."

Money solves the Money Problems.

And since 90% of your daily stress is caused by Money Problems, money effectively buys you peace.

The Lie of the "Sad Rich Man" is a Hollywood trope.

Yes, there are miserable rich people.

But I would rather cry in a paid-off house than cry under a bridge.

Stop letting them gaslight you into thinking your ambition is "Greedy."

Wanting to protect your family is not greed.

Wanting to own your time is not greed.

Money is simply a tool.

If you are a happy person, money amplifies your happiness.

If you are a miserable person, money amplifies your misery.

But don't let anyone tell you the tool is useless until you have enough of it to decide for yourself.

Get rich first.

Then you can wax poetic about whether it made you happy.

Elderly Woman Collapses While Waiting for Social Grant at Eenhana NamPost

Eenhana — An elderly woman reportedly collapsed on Friday after spending several hours in a queue waiting to receive her social grant at the Eenhana NamPost branch.

The incident was brought to public attention by Affirmative Repositioning (AR) leader Job Amupanda, who expressed strong criticism of the situation facing elderly grant beneficiaries.

According to Amupanda, the woman had been standing in line since as early as 05h00 but had still not been assisted by 14h00. After waiting for nearly ten hours, she was allegedly informed that there was no money available to pay out grants. Shortly thereafter, she collapsed, prompting an ambulance to be called to the scene.

“This is unacceptable,” Amupanda said, accusing NamPost and the Ministry of Finance of failing to adequately plan and manage social grant disbursements. He questioned how elderly citizens are expected to endure long hours in queues, only to be turned away without assistance.

Amupanda further criticised government leadership, arguing that slogans such as “business unusual” ring hollow when vulnerable citizens are subjected to such treatment. He asked whether elderly people fought for independence or waited in liberation-era hardships only to now collapse while standing for hours in grant queues.
