AIESEC in Namibia has the honour to host the sub-regional conference for AIESEC in Southern Africa 2014. The summit brings together youth leaders of AIESEC in Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, and South Africa, from the 25th till the 28th of September 2014. The summit aims to develop our youth leaders to deliver upon our regional internship program and drive capacity and collaborat
ion within the region. The conference could of course not happen without our official partners. Firstly, the summit will take place at Umti Lodge & Conference Centre, just outside Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. Our main conference partner is the Southern Africa Innovation Support Programme (SAIS). SAIS, which is funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), is a four-year pilot project which seeks to guide innovation in southern Africa. The programme supports collaboration between the innovation systems of African countries in order to create a positive impact on economic and social development in the region. They currently operate in Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, and Zambia, with South Africa as a knowledge partner. You can find out more about their programme here: http://www.saisprogramme.com/
If you are a member of one our Local AIESEC Executive Boards in the region, stay tuned for more updates regarding registration.
