**Alumni Entrepreneurs Networking Engagement 🇺🇸🇳🇦**

On October 1, U.S. Exchange Program alumni from Namibia’s entrepreneurship and business community gathered at the U.S. Embassy in Windhoek for an engaging **Alumni Entrepreneurs Networking Engagement** focused on strengthening connections, sharing experiences, and exploring opportunities for collaboration between Namibia and the United States.

The engagement featured meaningful discussions on **“Building a Future-Ready Workforce: Innovation, Skills, and U.S.–Namibia Economic Opportunity,”** highlighting the important role alumni play in entrepreneurship, innovation, workforce development, and advancing U.S.–Namibia economic relations.

NUSA extends its sincere appreciation to all the alumni entrepreneurs who attended and contributed their experiences, perspectives, and ideas to the conversation. Your continued engagement strengthens the growing network of U.S. Exchange Program alumni in Namibia.

🇳🇦🇺🇸 **Congratulations, Victoria Erasmus!**

The Namibia United States of America Alumni Association (NUSA) congratulates Victoria Fofa Erasmus on successfully completing her International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) exchange in the United States from **August 24 to September 11, 2026**.

Victoria participated in the IVLP program **“Promoting Fair Competition by Combating Illegal Fishing,”** which brought together international professionals to explore approaches to combating illegal fishing, promoting fair competition, strengthening enforcement, and advancing sustainable fisheries management.

We are proud to celebrate Victoria’s achievement and the knowledge, connections, and experiences she gained through this prestigious U.S. exchange program. We look forward to seeing her apply these insights in support of Namibia’s fisheries sector and broader efforts to promote sustainable and responsible economic development.

🇺🇸 **NUSA Alumni Celebrate George Beukes 27 Years of Service**

NUSA alumni joined colleagues, friends, and members of the U.S. Embassy Namibia community to celebrate and bid farewell to **George Beukes**, who has dedicated an incredible **27 years of service to the U.S. Embassy**.

For many U.S. exchange program alumni, George has been more than a colleague at the Embassy. He has been a **supporter, mentor, motivator, and champion of the alumni community**, encouraging alumni to remain connected, make an impact, and continue building bridges between Namibia and the United States.

During the farewell, alumni shared their appreciation for the many ways George has supported and encouraged them throughout their journeys. His commitment to alumni engagement and his willingness to motivate others have left a lasting impression on generations of exchange program alumni.

NUSA is grateful for George’s years of service and for the positive impact he has made on Namibia’s U.S. exchange alumni community.

The Namibia United States Alumni Association (NUSA) extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and fellow alumni of Ricky “Flair” Simasiku, a proud alumnus of the YALI RLC SA Alumni - Namibia and the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, who sadly passed away on September 5, 2026.
