PROQUAL DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING AND CANCER ASSOCIATION OF NAMIBIA JOIN FORCES FOR PINK OCTOBER 2026
Proqual Diagnostic Imaging has joined forces with the Cancer Association of Namibia (WO30) to help improve access to breast cancer screening for Namibian women.
As part of the collaboration and in support of Breast Cancer Awareness October, Proqual Diagnostic Imaging is sponsoring mammogram scans to the value of N$50,000, which will be allocated at the discretion of CAN’s clinical team to vulnerable women in need.
The partnership will also see 50% discounted mammogram rates extended to CAN to be used in support of state patients for the next six months, helping make specialised breast imaging more accessible to patients who may otherwise struggle to afford private diagnostic services.
In addition, Proqual Diagnostic Imaging will host two free breast cancer screening events in collaboration with CAN on Wednesday 21 and 28 October 2026 at their facility at Heritage Square, Robert Mugabe Avenue in Windhoek C*D.
“At Proqual Diagnostic Imaging, we believe that access to quality healthcare should not be limited by financial circumstances. Through this initiative, we hope to make breast cancer screening more accessible to women in need who may struggle to afford the service. This initiative reflects our support in a practical and meaningful way to the Cancer Association’s continued efforts to promote breast cancer awareness and improve access to screening across Namibia,” said Mr Diaan Descande, General Manager of Proqual Diagnostic Imaging.
The collaboration brings together CAN’s experience in cancer awareness, community engagement, and screening with Proqual Diagnostic Imaging’s specialised breast-imaging capabilities, creating a practical partnership aimed at making a meaningful difference this Pink October and beyond.
