Last week we were privileged to have been invited by the World Wildlife Fund Namibia to perform during their high level signing ceremony event, in the presence of our Right Honourable Prime Minister, Hon. Dr Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare.

We performed various short pieces, to celebrate the importance to live in harmony with nature, as well as 'Value the Earth', about the importance to look after our environment. Many thanks to the WWF organisers for including us. We were proud to be part of your ceremony.

On this Genocide Remembrance Day, here is a flashback to our piece 'Well Wish Ya', performed at the Theatre of Namibia in 2019, with Syrian Artist Kevork Mourad, the OYO dance troupe and guests.

Remembering - and more importantly learning from the past, honouring the fallen while finding ways to become better, is terribly important. Let us learn from the last centuries in order to create a society that is tolerant, inclusive, respectful.

Flashback on our extremely successful High-Level Breakfast last week, co-hosted by OYO with the Embassy of Finland in Windhoek - Suomen suurlähetystö Windhoekissa and Unesco Namibia.

Our deepest words of appreciation go to Hon. Emma Kantema Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, for gracing the event with her presence, as well as our panelists and the dancers part of the 'Hear Me' project.

While Namibia has made good progress in terms of inclusive education for people with different abilities, much still needs to be done. So congratulations on all the participants for contributing towards the conversation.

On Tuesday morning we were privileged to co-host a high-level breakfast conversation on Human rights and welfare of children with disabilities - strengthening inclusion in the Education sector, with the Embassy of Finland in Windhoek - Suomen suurlähetystö Windhoekissa and Unesco Namibia . Our guest of honour was no other than Hon. Emma Kantema , Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare.

The OYO dance troupe presented its first inclusive dance, a panel discussion highlighted both progress and challenges faced by people with disabilities in the education sector and many high ranking officials, ambassadors and government representatives participated in the discussion.

Congratulations to all involved and thank you to all the participants: let the conversation continues as much work still needs to be done.

Flashback to our campaign in Rehoboth: spending full days in the communities does make a difference: we can really meet people, appreciating their surroundings, spending time with them, encouraging them to go and learn more about HIV, access condoms and PrEP, know their status.

The day spent in Volstruisvlakte is etched in our memories. Thank you to Switzerland in South Africa for making it possible, as well as Walvis Bay Corridor Group and the fantastic OYO team.
