Rob Youth Foundation to Kick Off Engela State Hospital Bed Refurbishment Project

Engela, 10 August 2026 -- The Rob Youth Foundation Namibia will soon commence the first phase of its Engela State Hospital Bed Refurbishment Project, an initiative aimed at refurbishing at least 70 hospital beds to contribute to improved healthcare infrastructure and patient care.
Phase 1 will target the refurbishment of at least 15 beds, marking the first step towards achieving the broader goal of refurbishing 70 beds at the hospital.
The initiative has received valuable support from NASRIA, which has sponsored N$30,000.00 towards the implementation of the project. The Rob Youth Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to NASRIA for its generous contribution and commitment to supporting community development and healthcare initiatives.
The Foundation also extends its appreciation to the Engela State Hospital Management for its leadership, cooperation and support, as well as for granting the Rob Youth Foundation the opportunity to implement this important initiative at the hospital. Their willingness to work with the Foundation has been instrumental in making the project possible.
The Rob Youth Foundation looks forward to working closely with the hospital management and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the project and to ultimately contribute to creating a better and more dignified environment for patients and healthcare workers.
Together, we can restore dignity, improve healthcare facilities and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and communities.

NATIONAL SCHOOL HEALTH TASK FORCE KICKS OFF FAMILIARISATION VISIT IN KHOMAS REGION

Windhoek, Aug 3 -- The National School Health Task Force, led by the Deputy Director/Chief Education Officer for Integrated School Health in the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, Ms. Aina N. T. Lucas, today commenced a four-day familiarisation visit to selected schools in the Khomas Region.
The visit began with a courtesy call on the Khomas Regional Director of Education, Mr. Paulus Nghikembwa, before the Task Force proceeded to Baumgartsbrunn Combined School, located approximately 21 kilometres west of Windhoek on the outskirts of the city.
The team also visited People’s Primary School in Katutura, as part of its engagements with schools and stakeholders on matters relating to integrated school health.
The four-day visit provides an opportunity for the National School Health Task Force to gain first-hand insight into the health and wellbeing needs of learners, assess existing school health initiatives, and engage with school management, teachers and other relevant stakeholders.
The familiarisation visit is expected to contribute to strengthening the implementation of integrated school health programmes and ensuring that schools provide a safe, healthy and supportive environment for learners.

It's Mandela Month as we count down to Mandela Day.
This month, we celebrate the enduring legacy of Nelson Mandela a global icon of peace, justice, equality, and reconciliation. As we approach Mandela Day on 18 July, let us be inspired by his lifelong commitment to serving humanity.
May we each dedicate our time, skills, and compassion to making a positive difference in our communities, remembering that even the smallest act of kindness can help change the world.
