Everyone can make a positive change, no matter how small.

Founded in 2017, Gondwana Care Trust creates sustainable impact across Namibia — empowering communities and building a better future for all.

We’re grateful to be part of the ongoing support that helps TASK - Twaloloka Aid Support & Kindness continue providing meals to children in need.

Thank you to our partners, supporters and the team at OK Portuguese Market for helping us turn everyday essentials into something meaningful.

When Jonah Home for Children in Walvis Bay reached out to the Gondwana Care Trust yesterday to say they had run out of nappies for the babies in their care, we were able to respond the very next day.

The home, led by director Siphokazi Kangowa, cares for 24 children, nine of them toddlers and infants needing round-the-clock care. We were glad to step in to help close the gap.

Sometimes the most urgent needs are also the simplest to meet. We’re grateful for partners like Jonah Home who do this work every day.

This World Teachers' Day, we're celebrating the educators we work alongside through Back-to-School and MealForTwo across the country.

As one teacher put it: "The impact is not always measured by big achievements. It's about a child finally understanding that someone believes in them."

From early learning centres to rural primary schools, Namibian teachers show up every day for children who need more than a lesson plan. Sometimes that looks like sharing their own lunch, sometimes its just being the one adult who believes a child can do it.

To every teacher we work with, and every one we haven't yet met: thank you.

𝟮,𝟬𝟵𝟬,𝟬𝟮𝟰. That's how many meals have been delivered through MealforTwo since the programme began in 2019, as of our latest data count in June 2026.

The journey has covered seven years, countless partners and one shared goal: making sure fewer Namibians go hungry. From the Self-Sufficiency Centre's meat donations to Namib Poultry Industry, Seapride Foods, Kercon, Wecke & Voigts and every partner who's helped keep kitchens stocked. This number belongs to all of us.

We're proud of where we've landed, and even more motivated by where we're headed next.

When the Stampriet community needed a rabies vaccination drive, our team at Kalahari Farmhouse didn't just cheer from the sidelines, they got involved.

Led by local head vet Elke Boshoff, the team from Boshoff Production Animal Practice vaccinated nearly 80 dogs and cats against rabies and treated them for ticks and fleas in Soet Doring Laagte. And thanks to the strong community turnout, they did it all in under two hours. Kalahari Farmhouse staff joined the outreach on the ground, and the Gondwana Care Trust supplied beverages to keep the teams going, while the lodge hosted the team for lunch.

It's a small but clear example of our Healthy Environment work: protecting the connection between people, animals and the land they share, through community awareness and hands-on support. It's also proof of what happens when Gondwanians notice where their communities need support, and act.

Thank you to Elke and the whole vet team for the incredible work. See their full recap below:

𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗙𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗿𝘆: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲

"We are too few to be hungry." That was the motto at this week's Nutrition in Namibia exhibition, hosted by NAFSAN and the Government of Namibia.

The stats are sobering: 29.5% of Namibian children are stunted, 6.7% are wasted, and 56,000 children and pregnant/breastfeeding women currently need treatment for malnutrition.

The Gondwana Care Trust is committed to being part of the solution, but we know there's still a lot to learn about doing this well, in partnership with others.

𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗜𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁

When Gondwana Collection Namibia refreshes its lodges, items that still have plenty of life left don’t simply become waste. Through the Gondwana Care Trust, linen, furniture, kitchenware, toys and other useful goods are redirected to organisations and community projects where they can make a difference.

From a mountain of linen supporting Umbrella Initiatives, to furniture creating a workspace for Sàn Botanica, a chandelier finding a new purpose at Promiseland, and toys reaching the children of Hope village, every item tells a story of reuse, partnership and impact.

The Gondwana Care Trust is proud to be part of Namibia Corporate Social Investment Mukopano, a gathering of organisations, businesses and social impact champions coming together around a shared purpose: creating meaningful and lasting change in Namibia.

For the Care Trust, collaboration has always been at the heart of our work. We believe that when organisations share knowledge, build partnerships and work towards common goals, we can extend our reach and create greater impact in the communities we serve.

From January to April this year, Gondwana Collection Namibia Self-Sufficiency Centre near Stampriet donated 5,929kg of meat to MealForTwo. All of it reaches soup kitchens, school hostels and families across Namibia. That's roughly 39,500 burger patties' worth of protein, straight from Gondwana's own butchery and smokehouse at Kalahari Farmhouse.

Add 336kg of chicken from Namib Poultry Industry and 576kg of fish from Seapride Foods and other partners, and that's 6,841kg of protein shared in just four months. These donations form part of real meals, made possible by partners working together.

This is what sustainable tourism can look like: community, care and collaboration on every plate.
