𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚

For eight years, the Steps2Walk programme has been transforming lives in Namibia by providing access to specialised orthopaedic surgeries for those who would otherwise go without.
This year, an international team of surgeons, together with local specialists Dr Jacques Jonck and Dr TK Majojo, will perform 47 life-changing surgeries for patients from all 14 regions of Namibia free of charge.

This remarkable initiative is made possible through the collaboration of healthcare professionals, hospitals, sponsors, and partners. A special thank you to the FNB Namibia FirstRand Namibia Foundation for helping fund the specialised equipment required for these procedures.

The Gondwana Care Trust is proud to support the programme and to have welcomed the visiting doctors to Namibia ahead of their important work.

As Steps2Walk founder Dr Mark Myerson reminds us:
"You cannot experience the meaning and purpose of life to the full until you do something for someone who can never repay you."

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀

Since 2018, the Gondwana Care Trust has been helping children across Namibia start the school year prepared, confident and ready to learn through the Back-to-School Bag Project.

To date, 23,554 school bags have been distributed to learners across Namibia, supporting schools, kindergartens and community projects in both urban and remote rural areas.

In 2026 alone, the project supported 48 schools and community initiatives, distributing 3,991 school bags filled with essential stationery and learning materials. This helps ease the financial burden on families while encouraging school attendance and creating a positive start to the academic year.

This initiative is made possible through the generosity of partners, donors, guests, employees and volunteers who come together to pack, personalise and distribute each bag with care.

The MealForTwo programme is the Gondwana Care Trust’s flagship food security initiative, helping to address hunger and improve nutrition in communities across Namibia.

The programme provides balanced meals through donated meat from Gondwana Collection Namibia's Self-Sufficiency Centre, vegetables and other essential food items sourced with the support of partners and donors. These meals are distributed via schools, soup kitchens and community organisations supporting children, families and the elderly.

The Gondwana Care Trust is the social impact arm of Gondwana Collection Namibia. Established in 2017, it builds on community upliftment efforts that began in 2006.

Through initiatives focused on education, food security, health, wellbeing and environmental conservation, the Trust supports communities across Namibia. Programmes such as MealForTwo and Back-to-School help create access to nutritious meals, learning opportunities and sustainable development.

Driven by care and collaboration, the Trust works to empower people, strengthen communities and create lasting positive impact.

The Gondwana Care Trust was proud to support the 3rd Annual Promiseland Bingo Bash by sponsoring vouchers as prizes towards this meaningful fundraiser in Walvis Bay.

Congratulations to the Promiseland team and everyone involved in raising an amazing N$103,051 in support of children and the community.

𝗔 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

Through the Cancer Apple initiative by Bank Windhoek, every purchase helps support the important work of the Cancer Association of Namibia and the many individuals and families affected by cancer across the country.

This year, the Gondwana Care Trust purchased N$10,000 worth of apples and shared them with local partners in the coastal and central regions.

Together, small acts of kindness continue to create real impact through awareness, care and support for those who need it most.

Donation boxes at My SPAR - Superspar Maerua and SPAR Klein Windhoek are helping provide meals at the Trinity Soup Kitchen, supplies for the Otjiwarongo Multi-purpose Centre and comfort items for children at Especially Namibian Trust.
