Today, we celebrate the ones who nurture, protect, and love unconditionally.

To the mothers who wake up early, who give endlessly, who hold everything together with grace and strength, we see you. We thank you.

And to the incredible mares in our herds who teach us what devotion looks like. Who stand guard over their foals through the night. Who nuzzle, guide, and love without expecting anything in return. You are the heart of every breeding program and the soul of our breed.

Whether you are a human mom, a horse mom, or someone who simply loves like a mother, today is for you.

Where learning meets the land.

A couple of days ago, the stables came alive with something truly special, a full veterinary internship day at Tsama Appaloosa Stud, where passionate future vets rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty (literally) in the name of learning.

They learned:
🔹Reproductive Scanning - Uterus & o***y ultrasound assessment — reading anatomy in real time.
🔹Uterine Flushing - Hands-on reproductive health management and embryo transfer prep.
🔹Hoof Care - Proper trimming, inspection, and farriery fundamentals.
🔹Foal Care - Neonatal health checks, bonding, and early intervention protocols.
🔹IM & IV Drug Administration - Safe, precise intramuscular and intravenous injection techniques on live animals.

There's a reason textbooks can only take you so far. The confidence, calm, and competence that come from working with real animals in regards to feeling a heartbeat, reading a scan and holding a syringe steady are lessons no lecture hall can replicate.

A massive thank you to every intern who showed up ready to learn, to ask questions, and to push through the nerves. You are the future of veterinary medicine, and today you gave us every reason to be excited about it.
