π± Growing food. Nourishing children. Strengthening communities.
At Stampriet Combined School, the Food Systems Project is connecting local food production with school feeding - providing fresh vegetables and eggs to help ensure learners have access to nutritious meals.
But the impact goes beyond the school gates. The project is also supporting practical agricultural skills for learners, providing produce to community soup kitchens serving elderly people, people with disabilities and orphanages, while creating livelihood opportunities for community members.
With support from the Embassy of Brazil in Namibia, WFP Namibia is helping demonstrate how integrated food systems can improve nutrition, strengthen resilience and create opportunities for communities. π§π·π³π¦
