TOPIC: DEGREES OF FAITH.

TEXT: MATTHEW 14: 31
"And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? " (KJV).
In today's devotional we shall be taking a look at the second degree of faith "Little faith", little faith occurs when we do little to develop the measure of faith that we have been given. This is the degree of faith that cannot handle or confront great challenges. Little faith is vulnerable to doubt, and when we doubt, we are sure to drown, except that we cry out for help, like Peter did (Matt 14:30).
From our Scriptural verse for today, the disciples saw Jesus walking on water. Peter said to Him " Lord, if it is thou bid me come unto thee on the water" and Jesus asked him to come, he got out of the boat and began to walk on the water but after a while when he saw the wind he was afraid and began to sink and he cried out to the Lord to save him. And Jesus reached out for him and said unto him, O thou of little faith. The dimension of faith required to walk on water was not available in Peter, that's why he began to sink.
Beloveth, if we must walk on the waters of life and not drown we need to upgrade and develop our faith. The world today is confronted by the worst challenges ever, there will surely be days of adversity. The book of Proverbs 24: tells us that if we faint on the day of adversity, our strength is small. Only those who have developed their faith will remain standing at the end of the day. I pray by the power of the Holy Ghost we will stand and not drown or sink this season in Jesus' Name, Amen.
