This is now a matter of THE SUPREME COURT OF NAMIBIA registered as SA 82/2023 hence the appeal and application for reinstatement of the appeal, with a hearing scheduled for January 22, 2024 is to the SUPREME COURT. Equally the condonation application also set to be heard alongside the appeal on February 12, 2024 is a matter of the SUPREME COURT.

Lastly, I invite the media, NTTU members, taxi drivers in general and members of the general public, once the date of hearing is allocated, to attend the appeal hearing.

I thank you!

Hopefully come the 10 July 2023 I will finally put this issue to rest once & for all!!

The Namibian Transport and Taxi Union (NTTU) President, Werner Januarie says there is a need for the Government to revise and reduce fines for taxis since the majority of taxi drivers struggle to pay fines and debt due to the low salaries they are paid.
