🔴⚫️ VICTORY FOR DIGNITY ✊🏾
Today the High Court of Namibia has spoken loud and clear! Justice Masuku ruled in favour of Itakeya Ruth George, who was humiliated and undressed by a Chinese boss at China Town in 2021.
Li Bailong has been ordered to pay N$230,000 in damages for violating her dignity and for the cruel, degrading treatment he subjected her to.
His attempt to silence her with a defamation counterclaim was thrown out of court!
This victory belongs to the workers, to the oppressed, and to every Namibian who refuses to be treated as less in their own country.
RU stood firm, and with the brilliant legal representation of Lawyer Henry Shimutwikeni, we showed that exploitation will never win.
We celebrate this judgement as a reminder: no employer, foreign or local, is above the dignity of the Namibian worker.
The struggle continues and we will fight every battle until justice is the order of the day! 🚩
