The IRMSA & IIA Namibia Joint Conference 2026 will now take place on 27 November 2026 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort.

As Chief Audit Executive of the FirstRand Namibia Group, Dorothy brings more than 10 years of experience across financial and professional services. She leads the Group Internal Audit function, providing independent assurance over governance, risk management and internal controls across the FirstRand Namibia Group.

Her expertise spans governance, risk management, internal audit, information technology risk, regulatory compliance and integrated assurance. Dorothy is passionate about strengthening organisational resilience, advancing risk management maturity and contributing to the development of the audit profession in Namibia.

We are pleased to welcome Abel P. M. Abel to the IRMSA & IIA Namibia Joint Conference 2026.

A governance, risk and assurance professional with more than 16 years of experience, Abel serves as Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management at Telecom Namibia. His experience spans internal audit, enterprise risk management, compliance, investigations and corporate governance across both public and private sector organisations.

Abel is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and holds the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA). He currently also serves as Chairperson of the Oshana Regional Council Audit and Risk Committee.
