🧁💗 CUPCAKES FOR A CAUSE! 💗🧁

What happens when you combine generous hearts, busy hands, sweet treats and a meaningful cause?
You get an incredible day of making a difference!

Our Lions generously sponsored all the ingredients, while our amazing Leos put their baking, decorating and selling skills to work – and together, we baked and sold an incredible 275 cupcakes!

But this was about so much more than cupcakes.

🎗️ 16 Alpha Leos spent the day at Sentrum Pharmacy, handing out cancer-awareness booklets and pamphlets, speaking to members of the community and helping spread an important message of awareness.

🎗️ 8 Omega Leos were at SuperSpar at Port View Mall, doing the same – reaching out, sharing information and helping encourage people to become more aware of cancer and the importance of early detection.

Every cupcake sold, every conversation started and every booklet handed out helped make a difference.

And the sweetest part?

✨ ALL PROFITS FROM THE CUPCAKE SALE WILL BE DONATED TO THE CANCER ASSOCIATION OF NAMIBIA. ✨

A huge thank you to our Lions for sponsorship, our incredible Leos for spreading awareness, and to every single person who bought a cupcake and supported this wonderful cause.

Together, we are proving that small acts of kindness can create a big impact.

Today Walvis Bay Alpha and Omega Leos on invitation by The Walvis Bay JCC showed the impact the youth can have serving in their communities.

☆ They helped prepare and serve food at Tutaleni Senior Secondary School and also spend some time interacting with the children that came for something to eat.

☆Next stop was the local SPCA. Here they donate 11 blankets, helped clean the premises and played with the most amazing furry friends.

☆ Lastly they visited Jonah home where they donate groceries, clothes and toys and spent some quality time with sone of the children.

Walvis Bay Lions are blessed to have these awesome young people and future leaders as part of our Leo Club program.

Normally, when our Lions deliver donations, I prefer to be behind the camera.
But today, on Heroes Day, I had the pleasure of delivering groceries to a very special place to help with their fundraising — the Yahweh Down Syndrome Foundation.
True heroes who care for and protect the most vulnerable and most precious children imaginable. Thank you to everyone for helping these children thrive. 🧡

STEEL AFRICA BOWLS DAY

What a fantastic day it was!

The Lions Club was proud to assist with the catering for the Steel Africa Bowls Day. It was a wonderful opportunity to be part of a day filled with good sport, great food, laughter and even better company.

A huge thank you to Steel Africa for allowing us to be part of your event, and to everyone who supported us and enjoyed the food we prepared.

Behind every successful event is a team of hardworking volunteers, and we are incredibly grateful to our Lions members who gave their time and energy to make the catering a success.

On Friday, together with T.A.S.K., our amazing Leos helped serve 300 children with a warm bowl of soup. Every smile, every helping hand, and every act of kindness reminded us that even the smallest gesture can have a huge impact.

Together, we are changing lives—one meal, one smile, and one act of kindness at a time.

🌟 Lions Club Walvis Bay Year-End Function & Induction Ceremony 🌟

What a wonderful, and exceptional evening of fellowship, celebration, and service at the Lions Club Walvis Bay Year-End Function.

As we reflected on the achievements, projects, and lives touched throughout the past year, we were reminded that true service comes from caring hearts and dedicated hands. We are grateful to every Lion who has contributed their time, energy, and passion to making a difference in our community.

A special warm welcome to our newly inducted members. We are excited to have you join the Lions family and look forward to serving alongside you as we continue to uphold the values of Lionism.

🦁❄️ ROUND TABLE WINTER DRIVE ❄️🦁

This Friday, 05 June 2026, members of the Lions Club Walvis Bay will be standing at the Old Spar Corner in Walvis Bay, collecting donations for the Round Table Winter Drive.

As the cold winter months settle in, many families in our community are struggling to stay warm. We invite everyone to open their hearts and help us make a difference by donating.

No donation is too small. Every dollar donated will help bring warmth, comfort, and hope to someone facing a difficult winter.

If you're unable to drop off a donation, please contact us and arrangements can be made.

Together, we can make this winter a little warmer for those who need it most.
