His House Care Centre

His House Care Centre His House Care Centre is a non-profit organization that is registered with the Ministry of Health in Namibia as a convalescent home.

With quite a long waiting list, His House currently has 20 residents. One of these residents, is a young disabled man of 21 years, brought in around 2007, who was legally removed from his parents and could not be placed into foster care. An additional vision for opening the frail care center, was to create job opportunities in the community and to train local people as care givers. Sr Mutinta is r

esponsible for training of the caregivers. There are currently 20 staff members employed by His House. As we are a non-profit organization, we value our volunteers who makes time to sit and talk, listen, encourage and help wherever we need them. We do not have a permanent team of volunteers but accept help from community members who wish to be involved. These volunteers become like family and are as involved in His House Care Center as they wish to be. We do, however, prefer for our volunteers to visit regularly as our residents grow to love and need them.
