Get those BLANKETS and PETTY CASH donations ready in your cars and handbags as tomorrow morning we will be standing at the intersections in with our “blikkies”/ "cans" to collect donations in cash and kind for our yearly Winter Knights initiative. We use the money collected to buy blankets for the less fortunate people in our community. Your contribution makes a big difference in the lives of those that need your help to survive the cold of this desert winter.

14th March 2026 marked in our calendars as Round Table Walvis Bay 36 Induction Dinner.
This evening is set around Introducing our New Club Chairman Christo Murray to our community.
We were joined by Members of our fellow Namibia Area Clubs, Family as well as our Guest Speaker for the evening Kazie from Jonah Home for Children

We were joined by

Kazie opened the evening for us and then MC for the night Tommy took over the mic to introduce all Members and Delegates attending this special evening.

A few Toasts were made before Brian Gary took over the mic to deliver his outgoing Chairman Address, Handing over Trophy's and Attendance certificates to the members of Walvis Bay Round Table.
Thereafter, Brian introduced and formally inducted our Incoming Chairman Christo Murray as Chairman of the Club.

Christo addressed his audience and laid out his plans and direction for the club for the next 12 months.

We also had a Silent Sergeant for the evening, just to make sure all protocol had been observed and that the evening ran smooth. Leigh Westerdale not only attending as RT36 Honorary member but also as our Sergeant. He addressed everyone at the end of the proceedings and fines were handed out. Some Good, Some Bad and Some Ugly.

Lots of fellowship was flowing throughout the evening and we ended the night off at RT36 Clubhouse.

On the 6th of February 2026, Round Table Walvis Bay 36 held its AGM for the year that has passed. All Project reports and Finances for the year were discussed and voted in.
We had a cabinet reshuffle where Brian Gary handed over the Chairman's gong to Christo Murray for the coming year. Taonga Namate will be our Vice Chairman, Brian and Byron will complete the Table council for 2026 with Danie and Tristan coming in as Joe's.
Leigh Westerdale was nominated and accepted an Honorary role for the next 12 months and Joppie Kotze our esteemed 41er liaison.

We look forward to the coming year focused on Fellowship Family and Fun. By building one another up, we will form stronger bonds, this allowing us to do so much more for our community in 2026.

Taonga Namate and Byron Westerdale are both also serving on the Round Table Namibia Area Exec Council for the year.
