Ahead of Heroes Day, we remember a very special visit from a remarkable group of women who travelled from across the world to spend time with us at Promiseland.

Led by Miss Universe 1992, Michelle McLean, this international sisterhood of former Miss Universe contestants arrived with open hearts and left us with words we will not easily forget.

They spoke about the importance of caring for children, investing in their futures and supporting the people who work tirelessly to create better opportunities for them. There were tears of joy, heartfelt encouragement and one message echoed by everyone: every child matters.

Today, we thank these heroes for using their voices, influence and compassion to recognise and support the work of Promiseland.

As Namibia prepares to commemorate Heroes Day tomorrow, we are reminded that heroism also lives in the people who choose to care, encourage and stand behind others.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.

Through 𝟯𝗖 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹's global 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸-𝘁𝗼-𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, employees across their branches come together to collect school bags, stationery, lunch boxes, water bottles, clothing and other educational essentials for the children of Promiseland.

What makes this support particularly meaningful is that its impact reaches far beyond the start of a new school year. It is an investment that becomes part of our children's ongoing journey of learning, growing and building towards a brighter future.

To every 3C Metal employee who contributes, organises and puts their heart into this initiative...thank you! Your collective effort across thousands of kilometres makes a very real difference to our children here in Walvis Bay.

Our Promiseland kids recently enjoyed another beach cleanup with Ocean Conservation Namibia, where they continue to learn that caring for our coastline isn’t just something we talk aboutt...it’s something we can all play a part in.

And that’s what we love most about these days. Our kids get outside, work together, have fun and discover that even the smallest actions can make a difference.

𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀.

Every tin of fish represents more than just a meal - it represents care, dignity and the reassurance that no child has to face hunger alone.

A heartfelt thank you to the 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 (𝗡𝗙𝗖𝗣𝗧) for their generous donation of 53 trays of tomato fish - total of 636 tins - to Promiseland.

This incredible contribution will enable us to prepare an estimated 𝟴,𝟲𝟲𝟲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 through our soup kitchen, where around 500 children gather after school each day for a warm meal, a safe space and a sense of belonging.

𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱.

Congratulations to the 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 on being crowned champions of the Namport Championship (2nd Division).

While lifting the trophy is an incredible achievement, what happened next made the victory even more inspiring. By choosing to donate your prize money to Promiseland, you've shown that success isn't only measured by what you win, but by what you're willing to give back.
