Meeting our neighbours. Building bridges.

Club President Jeffrene of Rotary Club Walvis Bay and Rotarian Ansie were courteously received by President Naude and other members of Rotary Club of Swakopmund, Namibia.

For us, attending their meeting was a most enjoyable experience that provided an additional opportunity for local fellowship.
It was interesting to observe that the core spirit of service above self remained identical, but was given a unique approach by the host club. The familiar meeting structure was present, but a distinctly local flavour was recognizable.

While the clubs have similar challenges, there were also fresh perspectives and inventive ideas that will serve as inspiration for us.

Emsie Vervey gave a very interesting and excellent presentation on Brown Hyenas at our monthly public talk. We had a full house and it was a very successful and enjoyable evening.
