Our hearts go out to the families that lost their loved ones through GBV. We pray for the ones that are suffering currently in relationships where there is abuse. We dedicate this poem by Paulette Kelly to them, hoping that the words will encourage them to seek help.

I met and her friends for about 30mins at the Delight hotel. They were on holiday in Namibia, and she learned about the Lotus Foundation from their tour guide. What followed was a generous cash donation from Brittany, I am in awe. Thank you Brittany for taking your time to listen to my “why”. Thank you for donating to our cause, just after a 30min conversation over a cup of coffee. May you be greatly blessed.

The Lotus Foundation extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Juanita Karolus.
We are deeply saddened by the tragic and senseless loss of such a young and promising life.

As an organization committed to the empowerment and upliftment of women and girls, we stand in solidarity with all those mourning Juanita’s passing and strongly condemn all forms of gender-based violence.

May her memory serve as a powerful reminder of why we must continue striving for a society where every woman and girl can live free from fear, harm, and injustice.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this profoundly difficult time.

We are thrilled to share that our Founder, Marilyn Eibes, received the Community Service Award from the Rotary Club of Swakopmund!

This recognition is a celebration of her unwavering dedication to empowering girls and women through menstrual health, education, and dignity. Thank you to the Rotary Club for this beautiful honour — we are humbled and inspired!

At the same occasion, we also witnessed a meaningful leadership transition. The Lotus Foundation warmly congratulates Dr. Naude Dreyer on his induction as the new Club President of the Rotary Club of Swakopmund. 🙌🏽
