Halfway Through the Year, Still Moving Forward .

Today, Step Up Arc gathered in Rehoboth for a time of reflection, encouragement, and renewed hope.

As we reach the middle of the year, we took a moment to look back on the journey so far—not to focus on setbacks, but to celebrate resilience, growth, and the strength that has carried us through.
We reminded one another that the year is not over. There are still six months ahead filled with opportunities, healing, learning, and new beginnings. No matter what challenges we have faced, we can choose to rise, rebuild, and move forward together.
Standing on the very ground where we envision a future gathering place for women, children, and families, we were reminded that every dream starts with a single step. Today was about renewing our commitment to that vision and to one another.

Thank you to every woman who joined us today. Your courage, perseverance, and hope continue to inspire us.

🌸 Give to Gain – A Day of Impact and Connection 🌸

We were truly blessed to welcome Annika and her mum Angelika all the way from Germany. Their visit was more than just a trip, it was a beautiful moment of sharing, giving, and building together.

As we came together as a community, we were reminded that giving is not about how much we have, but about the heart behind it. From sharing supplies to standing side by side, every moment reflected our theme: Give to Gain.

Together, we are working towards something meaningful, a safe space with three beds for those in need. And days like this show that we are not alone on this journey.

Empowering Our Community..

Today, we continued our journey of community support in the Hardap region ,Mariental. On previous runs, I met a group of dedicated women who gather a natural product known as "pods" from the trees.

Today, I returned to listen to their stories and provide support. We shared a motivational and inspiring talk, uplifting their spirits and giving them hope as they prepare their pods for sale to passing farmers along the B1 road.

I truly believe there can be better opportunities for these women, and I’m committed to engaging with them regularly to explore ways to help them earn more sustainably. Their dedication, rising early each morning, is truly admirable, and I’m hopeful we can find meaningful ways to support them.

We invite businesses and community leaders to join us in this journey. Your support can make a tangible difference, creating sustainable opportunities and uplifting these communities. We encourage you to reach out and collaborate with us to bring about positive change.

Later, we also visited an area in Mariental that is still in development and facing its own challenges. It was heartening to engage in meaningful discussions and support the children with clothing.
It was a day filled with hope, connection, and empowerment, and we look forward to continuing our support for these amazing communities.
