A Weekend of Hope, Healing, and Empowerment
This weekend at Step Up Ark was filled with hope, purpose, and compassion.
We are deeply grateful to Olga and her sister, who travelled all the way from Swakopmund. Olga went the extra mile to help us secure sponsorship for this special weekend, and together they chose to stand alongside us, facilitate the sessions, encourage our women, and become part of the journey.
A special word of appreciation also goes to our dedicated facilitator, Cheslin, whose pure heart, passion, and commitment to serving others were evident throughout the weekend. Working hand in hand with Olga, she helped create a safe and uplifting environment where every woman felt seen, heard, and encouraged.
On Saturday, we gathered with the women at our Step Up Ark plot for our monthly empowerment seminar. It was a safe space where women shared openly, encouraged one another, and were reminded of the strength, courage, and purpose that already exist within them. This is the heart of Step Up Ark: helping women rediscover their worth and equipping them to build independent, hopeful futures.
On Sunday, the team continued the mission with a door-to-door outreach in Banoff, reaching families who could not attend the seminar. They shared messages of hope, encouragement, blankets, and food parcels, reminding every person that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.
At Step Up Ark, we do not define people by their circumstances. We see their potential. Our goal is not to create dependence but to empower women to become confident, self-reliant, and able to transform their own lives and communities.
