🌸 What a beautiful Saturday at Step Up Ark! 🌸

Our Women’s Gathering was hosted by the wonderful Mrs. Mouton, who truly surprised and blessed the women with such a meaningful time together.

The women arrived with open hearts, and through her motivation and the sharing that took place, many left feeling encouraged, uplifted and, in a special way, full. ❤️

One of the beautiful lessons was that sometimes we think we are carrying so much, until we hear someone else’s story. And sometimes we are afraid to try something new because we think, “That’s not for me.” But just like receiving a sweet you thought you wouldn’t like, you may discover that it was actually something special after all. 🍬

We shared, we listened, we laughed, and we learned from one another.

Thank you, Mrs. Mouton, for pouring into these women and creating such a memorable morning on the Step Up Ark plot. Building hope. Restoring lives. 🌿❤️

It is about building safer homes, teaching healthy relationships, protecting dignity, and raising a generation that knows respect.

Our Safe Haven is not only a place to go after violence.

It is part of our vision to build communities where fewer women and children ever have to run for safety in the first place.

NAMIBIA, LET US PAUSE. 💔
Our community is hurting. Our children deserve to feel safe — at home, at school, and on their way home.
Sometimes danger doesn't look like danger.
Sometimes it hides in the blind spots we don't see.
Today, Step Up Ark calls on every parent, caregiver, teacher and community member:
Look closer.
Listen carefully.
Talk to our children.
And when something doesn't feel right — speak up.
We cannot change what has happened.
But together, we can choose to be more alert, more present, and more protective of our children.
To the family and the Rehoboth community: we mourn with you. May you find comfort and strength in this painful time.

PARENTS, DON’T IGNORE THE BLIND SPOTS

Sometimes as parents, we sense that something is not quite right, but life gets busy and we tell ourselves, “It will be okay.”

Those are the blind spots—the things we cannot clearly see, but where we know there may be a risk.

We cannot protect our children from everything, but we can be more aware of their surroundings, their routes, their company, and the situations they may be exposed to.

If something concerns you, don't ignore it. Stop. Look again. Ask questions. Take action.

Our children need our awareness, our guidance and our protection.

Let’s not wait for the light to come after something has happened. Let’s help our children walk safely towards it.
