NAMIBIA TO HOST 5TH SOUTHERN AFRICA REGIONAL MINISTERIAL STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING (ReSCO)
Preparations are underway for the much anticipated upcoming 5th Southern Africa Regional Ministerial Steering Committee (ReSCO) Meeting in Windhoek, Namibia. Convened by the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and the Ministry of Health and Social Services, the meeting will bring together Health Ministers, senior officials, technical experts, and development partners from across Southern Africa.
The gathering will be opened by Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of The Republic of Namibia.
ReSCO provides an important platform for Member States to review progress, share experiences, and strengthen regional cooperation on priority health issues. The meeting is vital to improving disease surveillance, emergency preparedness, and coordinated responses to public health threats that cross national borders. By hosting this high-level meeting, Namibia reaffirms its commitment to stronger, more resilient health systems and improved health security across the region.
