3 Measures

3 Measures 3 Measures is a community development/church planting work in Katutura, Namibia. We aim to impact all measures of a community: physical, social & spiritual

The Three Measures

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.” Matthew 13:33

The Kingdom of God is revolutionary and its reach is unlimited. When present in a community, it should not simply transform a part, but should permeate every aspect of that society. Every

community is made up of three measures:

(1) the physical, (2) the social and (3) the spiritual. Local Ownership & Initiative

Three Measures is committed to see sustainable programs started. As far as possible Namibians must have ownership over any programs started. Three Measures will seek to organize and participate with members of a community in assessing their needs and planning their actions. Once the
community has taken initiative to begin a project, Three Measures will assist them in fulfilling those plans through training and consultation. There may be cases in which Three Measures will initiate a program, in these cases there must be a clear exit strategy in place before the project commences. Restoration Plea

The Restoration plea is a call for the church to get back to New Testament Christianity; a laying aside of the doctrines and traditions that have led the people of God away from what it was in the beginning and a turning to the Word of God as the only basis of our faith. We believe that the Gospel message is a simple message, one that was originally entrusted to (and understood by) average and basically uneducated men. Three Measures is committed to bringing the Gospel only; not our own cultural version of it, littered by man-made traditions and/or creeds. In order to be successful we must teach local Christians to study the Bible for themselves and to simply do what it says.

Greetings to the New Year!!!

We are excited to share that we have resumed with Bible studies for all our Thrive communities this week.

For everyone following our journey we will continue with House to House bible studies, and simultaneously continue to work tirelessly and prayerfully towards securing the building.

All those messages and prayers have been very encouraging, we are grateful!!!

As we prepare to see off the year, our hearts are full as we reflect on how faithful God has been. This year didn’t start the way we expected. Moving out of a ministry office meant changing how we do ministry, and it led us into a new season of house to house Bible studies for our Thrive communities. It wasn’t always comfortable, from hosting one another, noisy neighbors during Bible study, busy schedules, jobs, and varsity life, but God carried us through every challenge.

We have witnessed beautiful growth in maturity, character, and everyday faith. Seeing lives shaped by Christ and a deeper dependence on Jesus has been one of the greatest rewards of this year.

Our youth and young adults stepped out of their comfort zones at the YWAM National Youth Camp, and we also took a bold step through our Divundu outreach, over 700km away. From creative fundraising to sharing on national radio, God stretched us in ways we didn’t expect.

Additionally this year we had to pause some programs like Hope Café and other community initiatives, but ministry continued in small and meaningful ways, showing up, helping where we could, and trusting God for the right timing. As we look ahead, we are prayerfully working toward securing a property we believe is key for the next season of the ministry.

Thank you to everyone who supported us prayerfully and financially. We truly could not do this without you.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed, hope filled New Year 🎄✨

Just a quick reminder that we’re still going strong with our house-to-house Bible studies. Meanwhile, God is working behind the scenes, making big moves that we can’t yet fully see but deeply believe in. Grateful for every step of this journey!
