🌍🦟 WORLD MALARIA DAY 2026 COMMEMORATION | KATIMA MULILO 🦟🌍

Under the 2026 World Malaria Day Theme: “Driven to End Malaria: Now we can. Now we Must. Malaria Ends With Us: Reinvest, Reimagine, Reignite”, My Voice In Society Organization proudly joined the Ministry of Health and Social Services and various health stakeholders in commemorating this important day in Katima Mulilo, Zambezi Region at Mukwahepo Sports Field.

The event brought together organizations and partners committed to strengthening public health and empowering communities, including Project HOPE, DAAP/TCE, NAPPA, UNAM, FLAME, World Health Organization (WHO), Peace Corps, the Katima Urban Constituency Office, healthcare workers, youth leaders, community members, and many other stakeholders.

The commemoration was filled with educational and engaging activities aimed at raising awareness about malaria prevention and promoting healthy communities. Community members participated in dance performances, competitions, health awareness sessions, and on-site malaria testing services, creating an interactive platform for learning, empowerment, and unity.

As My Voice In Society Organization, we remain committed to supporting the Ministry of Health and Social Services-Namibia through advocacy, youth empowerment, community engagement, and digital awareness initiatives. We believe that empowering young people and communities with knowledge is key to building a healthier and malaria-free future.

This event reflected the power of collaboration between government institutions, civil society organizations, educational institutions, international partners, and local communities in the fight against malaria and other health challenges affecting our people.

Together, we can reinvest in our communities, reimagine health awareness, and reignite action towards ending malaria.

The Civic and Local Government Officer' Mr. Nico Mundia, The Secretary' Mis Kakwibu Shakwa and The Executive Director of My Voice In Society Organization were in full attendance and on-ground support during the event.
