🦁 The Lion’s World Has Changed

Once, lions roamed across much of Africa, Europe and Asia. Today, their range is confined to scattered areas — around 20% of their historic range.

A century ago, as many as 200,000 wild lions may have lived in Africa. Today, estimates are closer to 20,000–30,000.

The map tells a remarkable story of how much ground the lion has lost. 🌍

✨ Look into the wild.

One eye. A thousand stories.
A glimpse into a world shaped by instinct, experience and endless horizons. 🦁

🌍🌿 There is something extraordinary about the wild places beneath our feet — ancient landscapes, open horizons and fragile ecosystems that sustain life.

This land is more than a beautiful wilderness. It is home.

Protecting habitats means protecting the wild itself — the places, landscapes and living systems that make our world extraordinary. 💛

📚🦁🧒🐮 Small Acts. Big Impact.

Today, on International Day of Charity, we celebrate the people who choose to make a difference.

For us, charity means more than giving. It means creating opportunities for communities, protecting vulnerable wildlife and finding solutions that make coexistence possible.

⭐ Your support helps keep Namibia’s wild heart beating.

📚🌿🦁 Learning today. Protecting tomorrow.

Conservation starts with understanding. Through our Conservation Education Programmes, children discover the value of Namibia’s wildlife and wilderness — and why living alongside predators matters.

Because when the next generation learns to respect, understand and coexist with wildlife, they carry that knowledge with them for life. 💚

🦁🌍 Hope needs action.

Protecting lions takes more than good intentions. It takes people in the field, communities standing together, and supporters who help make conservation possible.

Every donation helps. Every share spreads the message. Every voice adds strength.

Stand with Namibia’s lions. Stand for their future.

🇳🇦🦁 This Namibian Heroes’ Day, we celebrate our heroes in the field.

The Lion Rangers who patrol, protect and stand between conflict and conservation. The communities working alongside wildlife. And every person who shows up, day after day, for Namibia’s wild places.

Our heroes don’t always wear capes — sometimes they carry radios, walk long distances and protect lions. 💛

🌍 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Humanity begins with compassion — for people, for communities, and for the world we share.

Across Namibia, conservation is not only about protecting wildlife. It is about supporting the people who live alongside it, strengthening livelihoods, reducing conflict and creating a future where communities and wildlife can coexist.

Today, we honour all those who dedicate their time, courage and compassion to making life better for others.

Because protecting people and protecting nature are not separate missions.

They are part of the same future. 🌍🦁

🌙🦁 The work doesn’t stop when the sun goes down.

While most of us are heading home, our Lion Guards may still be out in the field — repairing fences, protecting livestock, and helping communities live alongside wildlife.

Every repaired fence can help prevent conflict. Every night in the field is another step towards protecting Namibia’s lions, wildlife, and the people who share their landscape.

Long days. Dark nights. One unwavering purpose: coexistence. 💚🌿
