With some of our cameras almost completely submerged under water, and many of the roads inaccessible by vehicle, we had to use a helicopter to access a few of these sites.

Pangolin Release

This pangolin was confiscated from poachers and has been successfully released back into the wild.

This species is quite abundant in the Zambezi Delta, with over 20 sightings of wild pangolins reported in 2025. A testament to the ongoing protection efforts of the Anti-Poaching unit.

Environmental Education 🏆📚

This week marked the end of our 2025 Environmental Education lessons.

To reward the students that consistently attend the lessons, our APU conducted a demonstration of “A day in the life of Ranger”, each student was provided a meal and refreshment and each was provided a certificate.

We hope that the next generation of conservationists and rangers will be inspired within this group to protect the Zambezi Delta in years to come.

Rangers in Action!

Our APU have been hard at work the last few weeks, removing several sets of snares and a number of gin traps. The poaching pressure is relentless and having a fully employed and trained ranger force is the only way we can deal with this issue.

While the effect of this protection is evident from the restored prey populations and recovering predators, they need to remain trained, equipped and funded to ensure this incredible landscape remains protected well into the future.
