Project KAM

Project KAM Project KAM comprises 4 Day Care Centres assisting more than 450 orphans and vulnerable children in Mozambique. No child has to pay to be part of the project.

Project KAM is implemented by the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood (CPS) and takes place in poor areas in the surroundings of Maputo (Mozambique) and northern part of Mozambique. Through its 4 Day Care Centres, Project KAM assists more than 450 orphans and vulnerable children, between 4 and 18 years. At the Day Care Centres each child receives 2 meals per day, sometimes the only meal they

have, supports them among others in Portuguese and Mathematic studies, offers them a safe place to learn and to develop talents, besides supporting them psychologically and emotionally. After visiting their families and analyzing their conditions, only the most vulnerable are accepted in the project. The project also supports children to enable them to visit primarily, secondary and professional schools. By advocating child protection and children’s rights, children’s family are visited regularly. In that way the project tries to assure that the children are treated with respect in every environment. All families receive social support and the most vulnerable also receive a small financial support.
