ASCHA em marcha pela autonomia e vida das mulheres jovens.

ASCHA, Associação Sócio Cultural Horizonte Azul é uma pessoa colectiva, jurídica e juvenil que congrega maioritariamente mulheres jovens e raparigas que trabalham em prol da promoção e protecção dos direitos humanos, empoderamento, igualdade de género em particular das crianças, adolescentes e jovens órfãos e vulneráveis. Defende uma identidade feminista de igualdade onde meninas e meninos têm as mesmas oportunidades de aceder recursos afectivos, materiais e financeiros que garantem a sua autonomia e melhorem as condições de sujeitas e sujeitos de direitos nas comunidades. ASCHA, Horizonte Azul socio cultural association is a collective, juridical and juvenile society that gathers mostly young women and girls working for the promotion and protection of human rights, empowerment, gender equality in particular of orphans and vulnerable children, adolescents and young people . It advocates a feminist identity of equality where girls and boys have the same opportunities to access affective, material and financial resources that guarantee their autonomy and improve the conditions of subjects of rights in the communities

Diência Júlio António entrou no Espaço Seguro Fala Minha Irmã, no distrito de Rapale, como mentee e beneficiária. Durante as sessões orientadas pelas Educadoras de Pares Líderes da ASCHA, destacou-se pela sua dedicação, participação activa e vontade de aprender.

No âmbito do projecto “Adolescentes e Jovens Contra a Violência S*xual Baseada no Género e Uniões Prematuras”, implementado pela ASCHA e pelo Governo de Moçambique, com apoio técnico e financeiro do UNICEF, Diência passou de participante a Educadora de Mérito. Hoje, conduz sessões no seu Espaço Seguro Fala Minha Irmã, partilhando os conhecimentos adquiridos e contribuindo para a transformação de outras adolescentes e jovens.

Diência Júlio António joined the "Fala Minha Irmã" (Speak, My Sister) Safe Space in the Rapale district as a mentee and beneficiary. During sessions led by ASCHA Peer Educator Leaders, she distinguished herself through her dedication, active participation, and eagerness to learn.

As part of the "Adolescents and Youth Against Gender-Based S*xual Violence and Early Unions" project—implemented by ASCHA and the Government of Mozambique with technical and financial support from UNICEF—Diência transitioned from participant to an outstanding Peer Educator. Today, she leads sessions at her "Fala Minha Irmã" Safe Space, sharing the knowledge she gained and contributing to the transformation of other adolescent girls and young women.

ASCHA e o Levante Nacional contra o Feminicídio e VBG em parceria com a ONU Mulheres Moçambique, WVL Aliadas, World Vision-Moçambique, Fundação Friedrich Ebert Moçambique, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Maputo, UNICEF Mozambique, IOM Mozambique, Cfemea Feminista, REDEH, GPEG, PPGH Unimontes, Cristina's Home, realizaram, nos dias 16, 17 e 18 de Setembro de 2026, em Maputo, o Fórum Internacional “Para Além do Homicídio: Compreendendo o Feminicídio e a Violência S*xista e de Género”.

O Fórum reuniu mais de 250 participantes nos dois primeiros dias, entre representantes do Governo, Assembleia da República, sociedade civil, movimentos feministas, academia, activistas, organizações de mulheres e parceiros de desenvolvimento incluindo vozes e experiências de Moçambique, Brasil, Portugal, México, Cabo Verde e Guiné-Bissau, promovendo um importante intercâmbio de saberes, experiências e estratégias para enfrentar o feminicídio e a violência s*xista e de género.

Ao longo dos três dias, o Fórum promoveu espaços de memória, reflexão e diálogo sobre as causas estruturais da violência, os desafios legais e institucionais, a prevenção, protecção das sobreviventes, justiça e responsabilização.

O Artivismo e as representações artísticas integraram o Fórum como linguagens de memória, expressão e mobilização social, dando visibilidade às histórias e experiências que atravessam a luta contra o feminicídio e a violência s*xista de género.

A ASCHA agradece a todas as instituições, organizações, activistas e parceiros que tornaram possível esta iniciativa e que continuam a fortalecer a construção colectiva de respostas para garantir uma vida com dignidade, segurança e direitos para mulheres e raparigas.

ASCHA and the National Uprising against Femicide and SGBV—in partnership with UN Women Mozambique, WVL-Aliadas, World Vision, FES, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Maputo, UNICEF Mozambique, IOM Mozambique, CFEMEA, REDEH, GPEG, PPGH Unimontes, and Cristina’s Home—held the international forum "Beyond Homicide: Understanding Femicide and S*x- and Gender-Based Violence" in Maputo on September 16, 17, and 18, 2026.

The Forum brought together over 250 participants during the first two days—including representatives from the government, the Assembly of the Republic, civil society, feminist movements, academia, activist circles, women's organizations, and development partners. It incorporated voices and experiences from Mozambique, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Cabo Verde, and Guinea-Bissau, fostering a vital exchange of knowledge, experiences, and strategies to combat femicide and s*x- and gender-based violence.

Over the course of the three days, the Forum created spaces for remembrance, reflection, and dialogue regarding the structural causes of violence, legal and institutional challenges, prevention, survivor protection, justice, and accountability.

Artivism and artistic representations were integral to the Forum, serving as mediums for memory, expression, and social mobilization, and giving visibility to the stories and experiences that shape the struggle against femicide and s*x- and gender-based violence.

ASCHA extends its gratitude to all the institutions, organizations, activists, and partners who made this initiative possible and who continue to strengthen the collective development of responses to ensure a life of dignity, safety, and rights for women and girls.

O combate ao feminicídio exige prevenção, consciência colectiva, responsabilização e uma sociedade que não permaneça em silêncio perante a violência.

Durante o Fórum Internacional “Para Além do Homicídio: Compreendendo o Feminicídio e a Violência S*xista e de Género”, Eyvstad Oystein, 2.º Secretário para os Assuntos Político-Económicos da Embaixada da Noruega, trouxe uma reflexão sobre a violência nas relações íntimas e a necessidade de reconhecer e enfrentar as suas diferentes dimensões.

Discursando para os líderes mundiais reunidos na Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas, o secretário-geral, António Guterres, alertou para o retrocesso dos direitos das mulheres.

E reforçou: A paz é mais duradoura quando as mulheres têm lugar à mesa.

Mas isso só será possível quando eliminarmos barreiras, desafiarmos pressupostos e nos recusarmos a aceitar que o poder tenha sempre a mesma aparência.

É hora de transformar compromisso em decisão e garantir que a igualdade de gênero seja uma realidade para todas.

25 de Setembro, dia das Forças Armadas de Defesa de Moçambique

Defender um país é também garantir que as suas cidadãs possam viver livres da violência e com a sua dignidade respeitada.
Num contexto em que mulheres e raparigas continuam a enfrentar diferentes formas de violência, falar de protecção é também falar de prevenção, responsabilização e do direito de cada uma a viver sem medo. O feminicídio não pode ser visto apenas como uma perda individual: é uma vida interrompida, uma família marcada e uma sociedade que perde.

Neste 25 de Setembro, reafirmamos a importância de construir uma sociedade onde a segurança não seja apenas uma questão de fronteiras, mas também de proteger vidas, combater a violência e garantir que nenhuma mulher seja silenciada pela violência.

September 25th, Day of the Armed Forces of Mozambique

Defending a country also means ensuring that its citizens can live free from violence and with their dignity respected.

In a context where women and girls continue to face different forms of violence, talking about protection also means talking about prevention, accountability, and the right of each woman to live without fear. Femicide cannot be seen only as an individual loss: it is a life interrupted, a family scarred, and a society that loses.

On this September 25th, we reaffirm the importance of building a society where security is not just a matter of borders, but also of protecting lives, combating violence, and ensuring that no woman is silenced by violence.
