Serving our nation and community with faith, discipline, and unity! 🇲🇾❤️

On 16th September 2026, the 5th Tawau Company had the privilege of being called to serve during the Malaysia Day Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Tawau. It was a special and meaningful opportunity for our Officers and members to serve together while celebrating the unity and spirit of Malaysia. 🙏🇲🇾

📍 Event Details:
🇲🇾 Date : 16th September 2026 (Wednesday)
⏰ Time : 10.00 AM
⛪ Venue : Holy Trinity Church, Tawau

Our Officers and all the members wore their full uniform as they took part in the celebration.

At the beginning of the Mass, two of our Officers joined the procession, carrying the Malaysian Flag and Sabahan Flag respectively. The two flags were then presented to our Parish Priest, Fr. Ricky, as the Mass continued.

Following the conclusion of the Mass, our Color Party, consisting of two Officers and four Senior members, escorted the flags from the altar after Fr. Ricky blessed and prayed over them. Together with Fr. Ricky and the altar servers, they proceeded outside the church, where ten Senior members were already standing in formation with the Malaysian and Sabah Flags.

Under the commands of our Officer, the ten flag bearers marched along the church grounds and took their respective positions, while the Color Party proceeded to the main flagpoles to prepare the flags for the raising ceremony. 🇲🇾

As the congregation gathered outside, everyone stood together for the National Anthem and Sabah State Anthem, followed by a speech and the National Pledge led by the Chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council.

We are proud of our members for carrying out their duties with discipline, teamwork, respect, and commitment throughout the ceremony. It was truly a memorable way for our company to serve and celebrate Malaysia Day together.

A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Ricky, Holy Trinity Church Tawau, the Parish Pastoral Council, and everyone involved for giving us the opportunity to be part of this meaningful celebration. 🙌❤️

May we continue to serve God, our community, and our country with willing hearts.

Happy Malaysia Day from the Boys’ Brigade 5th Tawau Company! 🇲🇾❤️

👮💙 “A good leader doesn’t just know how to lead, but also knows how to teach others to lead.” 👮💙

Two days of learning, leading and putting our drill skills to the test! 🎖️💪 Here’s a little look back at our Drill Leader Training Course 2026 :

🎖️ Date : 1st & 2nd September 2026
🎖️ Venue : Holy Trinity Church, Tawau

This Division Course brought together members and officers from both 2nd Tawau and 5th Tawau Companies for two days of learning, training and fellowship! 👮💙🤝

On the first day, Officer Ivan Ng from 2nd Tawau Company conducted a theory class on Drill Theory, teaching us how to become effective Drill Leaders and teachers for our BB members. 📖🎖️ We learned more about proper commands, discipline, confidence and leadership during drills.

On the second day, after a short briefing from Officer Ivan Ng, it was time to put our knowledge into practice! 💪 Each officer and member was given the opportunity to take command and lead everyone through a series of drills. 📢🎖️ It was definitely a great opportunity to build our confidence and leadership skills! 🙌

Of course, both training days were also made better with a BIG LUNCH!!! 😂🍽️ Everyone had the chance to enjoy some good food while catching up and strengthening our fellowship together. 🥰💙

A BIG THANK YOU to Officer Ivan Ng for sharing his knowledge and guidance throughout the course, and to everyone from 2nd Tawau and 5th Tawau Companies who participated! 🙏💙

May this training help us become better Drill Leaders, teachers and leaders in our BB Companies, while continuing to grow together with God's guidance. 🙏❤️

Learn. Lead. Teach. Serve. 👮💙🎖️
Until our next training and fellowship together!!! 🙌🥰

Our members, together with their families and friends, brought delicious dishes to share for our potluck dinner. Before we started, we gathered for a prayer to give thanks to God for the food, the evening and the opportunity to fellowship together. 🙏💙 After that, it was time to DIG IN!!! 😋🍽️

At 7.00 PM, it was MOVIE TIME!!! 🎬🍿 Our movie for the night was “Evan Almighty”! 🙌 Everyone settled into their comfy spots, with some even bringing pillows, mats, plushies and other cosy essentials! 🤭🧸🛏️

Of course, movie night wouldn't be complete without MORE FOOD!!! 😂🍴 Everyone was free to grab some more food from the potluck table while enjoying the movie. “Evan Almighty” gave us plenty of laughs while reminding us about faith, obedience, prayer and trusting in God's plan. 🙏❤️

After the movie, our Captain gave a short speech to thank everyone who contributed and made the evening a memorable one. 🥹💙 We then took a GROUP PHOTO to capture one final memory before working together to clean up the hall. 📸🧹✨
