The last note on the music box echoed through the walls of the box as its lid closes.. As the music box played its final note, the melody slowly faded into silence. The lid closed, and the little world inside grew quiet once again..

Congratulations to the winners for Thematic Month: Music Box!

Anything, Through the Eyes of Childhood #6

When I was little, I kept having this dream where I’d ride my bicycle through the clouds while colourful fish swam through the sky. There was nowhere I needed to be. I just kept pedalling, watching the fish pass by. It never seemed strange. To me, it was just another day in my dreams.

Is there a childhood dream you still remember? 🌤️🐟🚲

Anything, Through the Eyes of Childhood #5

When i was a kid, I was very ambitious and had big dreams. To everyone who was the same, I hope you know it’s still possible to do everything you’ve dreamt of doing when you were younger < 3

Anything, Through the Eyes of Childhood #4

During my childhood, I was still a kid and didn’t know how to drive, but I always craved ice cream during the hot weather. Luckily, there was an uncle who could save the day. He drove a van and always played his signature tune to let everyone know he was coming. I could hear that song from the end of the street and would quickly grab 2 Ringgit from my piggy bank.

Then I would rush out of my house to stop his van, although sometimes I didn’t manage to catch him in time. He sold many flavours of ice cream and popsicles, but my favourites were the grape and orange-flavoured popsicles. Those moments were some of the happiest memories of my childhood.

Anything, Through the Eyes of Childhood #4

Travelling back to ma ma and ye ye’s house to relive those never-ending mornings where our routine visit to the kopitiam never failed to entertain. An order of soft-boiled eggs and kopitiam gossip accompanied with ma ma’s handmade egg toast with jam? Pure perfection!

P.S: Horlicks is the best kopitiam drink ☕
