Kawasan Rukun Tetangga SS17

Directions

Kawasan Rukun Tetangga SS17 Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) SS17 covers the entire SS17, Subang Jaya. Facebook guidelines for residents
1. The Group is for neighbours, by neighbours. a.

Some of its initiatives include the Skim Ronda Sukarela (Voluntary Patrol Scheme) to enhance security as well as community projects and gatherings to promote unity and neighbourliness. Spread the word around, and get your neighbours on board
b. While we can’t enforce this 100%, we would prefer that everyone in this Group are living in SS17
c. Be informative: If you have handy DIY or gardening tips, do share! Also, if you notice suspicious/criminal activities, do give your neighbours a heads up too (but first, call the cops)
2. No commercial or marketing-driven posts
a. If you’re an entrepreneur – be it a plumber or a home baker – be mindful not to advertise your services or products here. This is intended to keep the conversations here focused on community issues
b. If you are decluttering and want to sell off new or used items, this is not the right platform. We really want to centre all discussions on community issues
c. If you want to share a positive review of a product or service, please do so. We want to know where to get the best tom yam in Subang Jaya. But if we are suspect that it’s not a genuine review (paid/biz-initiated), we will remove your post immediately
d. We may consider setting up an alternate page for Buy/Sell purposes, depending on demand as well as the availability of resources
3. Selling/renting your property
a. If you are planning to sell/rent your house in SS17, you may list your property here. But only if you’re the owner. We don’t want housing agents to spam our Group with a series of advertisements.
4. If you wouldn't say something directly to a neighbour, face-to-face, you shouldn’t not post it on this Group
a. Be kind, courteous, and no hate speech
b. No trolling and shaming
5. No politics
a. Political discussions tend to split the community, and we are seeking to unite residents. If you’re inclined to post on politics, please do so on your own personal page
b. Nominations for the committee of KRT SS17 opens every 2 years. We will allow you to announce your intention to contest for committee positions and share your manifesto 30 days from the close of nominations. This will be the only politics allowed in this Group – and even then, no gutter politics. We are neighbours, after all.
6. Admins
a. We have a board of administrators managing this Group. In the event of a major dispute, the board will deliberate and vote on a resolution. Once a decision is made, it will be considered as final.

𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐇 𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐁 𝐊𝐈𝐓𝐀? 𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇

Our adab is about respect, restraint and fellowship. We can disagree, we can compete fiercely, but we must never let anger fracture the bonds we have built. Adab in Subang Jaya means shaking hands after a foul. It means apologising even when pride resists. It means showing up for neighbours, whether at a patrol, a funeral or a football game. It means recognising that our strength lies not in individual triumphs, but in collective resilience.
